That shit is disturbing, but my fridge has a "shabbos" mode. The manual explains that's what the cat5 connection is for, but does not explain what it does? Special cooling mode for keeping baby foreskin fresh? WTF I been wondering!

I seent all that many times, and it is disturbing.

But do you know what a shabbos mode does on my fridge? What religious kink would involve a fridge? And why does GE make this mode on all of them when only a few percent of people would care? Like a kosher tax - but I would love to know what the hell it does?

Any lurking hebrons wanna chime in?

It must have something to do with "tasks" but how can a fridge change it's behaviour to impact a person differently because of a religious holiday or belief? it just blows my mind that any serious engineer would have given 2cents worth of shit to design anything into it for that reason.

I am sure the engineers laughed intensely for a time until the boss said "IM SERIOUS"
