When the posting routine doesn't get a proper acknowledgement from the server, it tries to send the post again. Unfortunately, the timing is too short between the first and second post to be flagged by the flood detector. That's how you get a double post.
Jim needs to fix the time interval to at least 5 seconds. It's like just a second or two right now.
