That's where the battle is. I try very hard to not fall into that trap. That's why I make a point of never "believing" but instead only "considering". I weigh the evidence and lean one way or the other but never making a commitment. Was the lunar landing faked? Dunno. The evidence leans both ways so I can't decide. Is the earth flat? Well, hell, the evidence leans heavily toward the earth being round. And so on.
