After the Clintons left the WH, Socks went to live with Bettie Currie.

 

– After initially retiring from government service, she met John Podesta, who encouraged her to return in 1984 to run offices for the Walter Mondale 1984 presidential campaign and Michael Dukakis 1988 presidential campaign. She later joined the Clinton campaign, where she worked with James Carville in the "War Room" in Little Rock, Arkansas.[4]

 

After Clinton's election to the presidency, Currie served as his personal secretary during both of his terms. She still keeps in touch with the Clinton family, and donated $750 to the Hillary Clinton 2008 presidential campaign.

GOP Rep. Jordan says Jan 6 committee altered evidence, 'lied to the American people'

 

House Republicans are betting that Americans will see the panel's presentation "for what it is, a partisan political."

 

GOP Rep. Jim Jordan says members of the Democrat-led House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot altered evidence in the form of a text exchange between him and then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

 

Calling the entire primetime presentation of the committee Thursday "choreographed," Jordan, an Ohio lawmaker, said he does not trust what the panel is presenting and wants to "see all the depositions."

 

"When you think about what this committee has done, never in the history of this country, in the history of the House of Representatives, has a minority leader not been able to put on a select committee that individuals he or she has selected," said Jordan, adding that Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) has also sent a preservation letter to the committee requesting that all information be kept for review.

 

"We also know that this committee has altered evidence and lied to the American people about it, so much so that they had to issue a statement which says, we regret the error, which is government-speak for, we got caught lying," also said Jordan, who has not complied with the committee's subpoena to testify.
