Ron DeSantis’ Florida Files Complaint Against Bar that Held Lewd Drag Show for Kids

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) served a complaint Tuesday on a bar in Miami that offers drag shows to children, and which was recently featured in viral videos showing a topless drag queen attempting to entertain a young girl.

The R House bar, located in the Wynwood area of Miami, has 21 days to respond to the administrative complaint. If the bar is found to be in violation of local laws and codes, it could then lose its liquor license, effectively putting it out of business.

Video posted earlier this month by the “Libs of Tik Tok,” a Twitter account that brings notoriety to far-left activists, showed a drag queen with exposed breasts and a thong stuffed with money leading a little girl by the hand around a bar during a show.

The DBPR complaint identifies the girl as appearing to be “between three and five years old,” according to the video.

As the UK Daily Mail reported:

That performer – who appears to be a transgender woman – proudly displays gigantic boobs, with her nipples covered with pasties while wearing lingerie stuffed with dollar bills.

She parades around the R House Wynwood in a TikTok video shared by a user called nononoie, who wrote: ‘Children belong at drag shows!!!! Children deserve to see fun & expression & freedom.’

It’s unclear when the clip was shot, who the performer is – and how nononoie is related to the girl being filmed.

A menu for the “R House Drag Brunch” includes a special “kids brunch” for children up to 12 years old, with a discounted meal price that includes “of course our fabulous show.”

The DBPR complaint cites several examples of lewd shows portrayed on social media, but also includes first-hand observations such as a performer in a suggestive outfit allegedly dancing “mere steps” from a child during a drag show.

In another incident, the DBPR claims that a child “between the ages of ten and twelve” was “seen recoiling and turning away in her seat as a Brunch performer climbed on the back of the child’s bench, squatted, and gyrated a couple of feet above the child’s head.”

Florida’s state government, under Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), has expressed opposition to exposing young children to material about sexuality and gender. Earlier this year, DeSantis signed a bill, maligned by critics (including President Joe Biden’s White House) as the “don’t say gay” bill, to bar the teaching of material about sexuality and gender to children in K-3 grades.

Ukraine wants major US and European banks prosecuted for "committing war crimes" because they finance companies that trade oil with Russia, according to CNBC, citing President Volodomyr Zelensky's top economic aide, Oleg Ustenko.

"Everybody who is financing these war criminals, who are doing these terrible things in Ukraine, are also committing war crimes in our logic," Ustenko told the network on Tuesday, calling out banks such as JPMorgan, HSBC and Citi.

When asked if the banks should be prosecuted for war crimes, Ustenko replied "Exactly."

‘Brazen Discrimination’: Cruz Grills Biden Official Over State Dept Email Allegedly Excluding ‘Straight White Men’

Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz pressed the State Department’s chief Diversity and Inclusion officer Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley over an email allegedly excluding “straight, white men” and people of the wrong religion from being hired.

The senator argued Tuesday that the department’s Equity Action Plan, which changed hiring practices at the agency, is “nothing more than brazen discrimination.” An email from a senior department official described reports from candidates claiming to be denied a position for having a disability or for classifying as “white men, straight white men, [or] not [being] of the right religion.”

“Did you clear this guidance?” Cruz asked during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on ‘diversity, equity and inclusion.’

“I’ve never seen that before,” Abercrombie-Winstanley said.

Migrant trafficking has become a multi-billion dollar industry

A migrant attempting to enter the U.S. from Latin America might expect to pay $4,000 for safe passage

As migrants continue to surge across the United States' porous southern border, drug cartels are taking advantage of the situation, developing complex networks both to get migrants into the country and to extort money from their families upon arrival.

Authorities arrested and charged at least 5,046 individuals with human smuggling in 2021, according to the New York Times, a figure that nearly doubles 2014's total of 2,762.

The outlet described a dramatic rise in both the volume and profitability of the industry since just 2018. Homeland Security Investigations estimated that smuggling activity generated $500 million in 2018, but that the industry now rakes in at least $13 billion, a 2600% increase over four years.

Smuggling expert Guadalupe Correa-Cabrera, of George Mason University, told the NYT that a migrant attempting to enter the U.S. from Latin America might expect to pay $4,000 for safe passage, while someone from another continent might have to pay up to $20,000 for the same service.

The outlet went on to describe the plethora of humanitarian disasters involved in the trafficking operations. In many instances, traffickers may demand additional money from the families of the border crossers on the threat of torture or death. It also recalled the botched human smuggling episode in late June during which 53 migrants died after their driver abandoned them in the back of a tractor-trailer to die.

Border officials encountered a record number of 240,000 migrants entering the U.S. in May and crossings remain high.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration this week said they are cracking down on importers who 'failed to provide updated medical research on how the tests stack up against emerging Covid strains'.

The removed tests are CovClear by Medi-Stats, NowCheck by Life Bioscience, Covifind by Safe Interact and BD Veritor System for Rapid Detection test from Becton Dickinson.

Test supplier Hough Pharma has already received eight infringement notices worth $106,560 for allegedly failing to provide information on the safety and performance of three Covid rapid antigen tests.

The TGA said other companies are also under investigation for 'similar non-compliance'.
