Used to be, years ago, everyone who was family got invited regardless, even crazy Aunt Ruth and obnoxious uncle Bob. Even some who weren't family because 'most' people just loved them and enjoyed their company.

There was a time when grandparents and friends were conservative and tolerant, loving people.

Then the liberal, democratic women started with the BS they learned in college.

Little by little…

The conservative cousin who didn't want to listen to their liberal BS? Banned.

"If he's gonna be there, then I'm not gonna go".

The annoying, kooky-sister-in-law?

"If she's gonna be there, then I'm not gonna go". Banned.

And on and on over the years.

Anyone who doesn't toe the liberal line and parrot their ideas of what family and life should be like is banned.

Frankly, it's a blessing to be ' banned' and not to be invited to family reunions.

Generations before must be turning over in their graves.

Still waiting for one family member who might still have a spine (that isn't already banned) to say that at the next family reunion everybody is invited and welcome.

If anyone has a problem with someone who is invited (that doesn't share their political or personal views) then we will miss seeing you, we love you, but everyone is still invited.

And if you do come, please don't announce WE DON'T TALK POLITICS because you are lying and you will talk politics when you get yourselves into a coffee klatch that others you know share your warped views, and you all look really stupid trying to explain what you were just talking about when the 'enemy' sits next to you.

Try to be tolerant and enjoy the family and people that you do not see very often.

In other words, don't be a liberal Democrat.
