My understanding, after reading all of the speculation on this topic, is that Q's tripcode is whitelisted, meaning that the random salt it was originally created with is stored with the password hash so that a salt rotation won't affect Q's ability to post. This makes sense given that Q has been gone a long time and this should be a reason for avoiding salt rotations.

Can we end this discussion once and for all? At least until we hear more from Q.

Emmanuel Macron has had quite a ride the past few weeks. In April he scored a resounding 17-point victory over far-right opposition veteran Marine Le Pen to secure a second five-year term as France’s President. Then, on June 19, his political alliance suffered a historic defeat in parliamentary elections. His bloc needed 289 seats for a majority in the National Assembly. With just 245 seats, his Ensemble! alliance didn’t come close.
