This is common sense in Germany, since we sometimes face problems with cheap alcohol from Poland which is illegally imported. It will make you blind and if you drink up to a liter it will most likely kill you. This is a very serious problem. The Bronfman sold that shit, it is on the German Wikipage of them noted as scandal. That actually sounds like those pills rapists put into someone elses glass. Methanol is similar to alcohol, one glass is bad, but not too much. Usually you don't even register a difference between Ethanol and Methanol. I also had such a pill in my glass, a decade ago on a party. I got knocked out after half an hour and woke up 16 hours later in my bed. Fortunately friends have immediately noticed it and brought me home safely. Anything can happen on parties, so always be aware of such things. This is getting more and more normal in Europe, since we get the full load of drugs from Asia. You wouldn't believe how many people have been raped here and did not even notice.I believe, Germany is rapists paradise at the moment.
It would scare you, but since I grew up in a hosting environment for guests, including hotels, restaurants and bars, I can tell you that in many cases the owners are the drug dealers. They know exactly who they can safely sell drugs and they have a superior knowledge of society, since they interact the whole day with people… But most of them are fine. There are always idiots in all kind of businesses, especially in big cities. The bigger the city, the bigger the crimes :)
