Income tax (UK) was originally created to raise funds for war (Napoleonic, if my memory serves - I studied this era in history at school).

They realised that they were on to such a good gig that they never repealed it when the war ended.

Even when Henry VIII broke away from the Catholic Church and set up the Church of England? Could Henry have used thisa as a tax dodge?

Magna Carta pre-dates the Napoleonic War by some considerable time, so i'm not convinced about your theory off the tax going to the Pope. I stand to be corrected though.

I just realised something..

"Strings cut" - It doesn't just mean the elites…

If the Pope is getting a cut of Income Tax from around the globe, cutting the strings could be releasing us from Income Tax that was brought in to fund wars and was never repealed.

Is this the reason that they need perpetual war, to keep Income tax flowing? Has that been the source of their wealth all along and why they foment war at any opportunity?

Wew…
