Homeschooling can still be indoctrination of some type. Every enclosed society are programming the children ? The question for all families is what sort of group think is being touted by the different groups. Keeping culture out of learning until a more advanced age of reason was how it was done in the old days and we had many less moral issues and crises.

Abrams intends for her latest iteration of the New Georgia Project to be a constellation of projects scattered throughout the state. Voter registration efforts are centered in six cities, where, according to one memo, she plans to set up field offices with dozens of paid staffers. A series of smaller civic engagement projects are designed to push people to the polls. Her staff hosted a โ€œhack-a-thonโ€ where teams of computer programmers competed over a 48-hour period to create apps to make it easier to vote (#UnlockTheBox), held a five-day training course for applicants participating in a crash course to become campaign operatives (B.L.U.E.), and launched a series of citizen academies designed to demystify public policy at the local level (Advocates for Change Institute). The course even gave ACI graduates their own Apple laptops.

โ€œIt was Oprah Winfrey redux!โ€ ACI graduate Will Curry wrote in a Facebook post that included an image of his new computer and a graduation certificate. โ€œYou get a laptop! EVERYBODY GETS A LAPTOP.โ€

The New Georgia Project (NGP) is hosting a two-day civic engagement/social justice hackathon on GA Techโ€™s campus, October 9th and 10th. The NGP is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to registering and civically engaging the New American Majority (people of color, those 18 to 29 years of age, and unmarried women). Unlock the Box is the first ever voting rights hackathon. The event is drawing programmers, designers, civic engagement groups, public officials, and voters, to compete for cash prizes while working to overcome the most common obstacles Georgians face when attempting to vote.
