I agree with your statement but more people voting in opposition of the establishment makes it harder for the establishment to rig more and more into their favor because of how many more voters they would have to account for.

Right. If people have doubts about elections they are less likely to participate in them. Most reasonable people would still vote even if they have doubts about.

Two examples:

1) People who have doubts about the election but they are in and out of their voting place in less than a few minutes.

2) People who have doubts about the election but the lines are 30+ minutes long are far less likely to participate.

I do agree people not wanting to participate in elections where people have doubts on said process but they will still go vote if they are in and out in 5 minutes.
