A man who was suspected of purposefully setting forest fires in a remote section of woods was tracked down and confronted by three local residents who tied him to a tree until authorities could arrest him, police say. The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 1:46 p.m. when the Curry County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting active fires near Mariel Lodge and Rogue River Ranch located in deep southwest Oregon in an area that is only accessible by river or by Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management roads, according to a statement posted by Curry County Sheriff John Ward on social media.

The superintendent of Virginia-based Loudoun County Public Schools received a $28,000 pay raise despite his multiple failures to adequately inform parents about two sexual assaults, according to a local news outlet. Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler now makes a total salary of $323,000 alongside his $1,000 monthly vehicle allowance, according to WJLA. The Loudoun County School Board approved the pay raise per Ziegler’s 2021 contract. Ziegler’s contract permits hefty pay raises if the majority of school board members evaluate his performance as “proficient,” the local news outlet reported.

We found out in October 2020 from a message on Hunter Biden’s laptop that Hunter was supposed to be holding 10 percent of the joint venture with CEFC for the “Big Guy.” Tony Bobulinski — who was involved in the deal — identified Joe Biden as the “Big Guy.”Now, there’s more information about the “Big Guy.” According to the NY Post, when the laptop story broke back in October 2020, James Gilliar, who was also involved in the CEFC deal, sent a panicked email to an unnamed person to talk about the “Big Guy,” when it became clear that some of this was going to come out.

Two more Texas counties confirmed they have declared an invasion at the U.S.–Mexico border in recent days amid historically high illegal immigration. The Parker County Commissioners Court unanimously voted this week to invoke a law to say that the United States and Texas are under invasion, local media reported. Because of the significant presence of illegal immigration and drug trafficking, the declaration says it is “an invasion of Parker County, Texas, as the term ‘invasion’ is used in Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution and in Article 4, Section 7 of the Texas Constitution.”
