Schumer-Manchin deal raises taxes on earners under $400K, study shows

The energy and health care deal from Sens. Joe Manchin and Chuck Schumer would raise taxes on millions of Americans earning less than $400,000 annually, Senate Republicans say, citing nonpartisan data.

The Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation found that taxes would jump by $16.7 billion on American taxpayers making less than $200,000 in 2023 and raise another $14.1 billion on taxpayers who make between $200,000 and $500,000.

During the 10-year window, the average tax rate would go up for most income categories, the Senate GOP said, citing the data from the joint committee. And by 2031, new energy credits and subsidies would have people earning less than $400,000 pay as much as two-thirds of the additional tax revenue collected that year, the release said.

Manchin, in touting the bill, said it “would dedicate hundreds of billions of dollars to deficit reduction by adopting a tax policy that protects small businesses and working-class Americans while ensuring that large corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share in taxes.”

He said on CNN Sunday the bill is “not putting a burden on any taxpayers whatsoever.”

Pelosi-Linked Lobbyists Are Pushing China’s Social Credit System For American Citizens.

Ant Group – a payment platform used to implement “vaccine passports” and a “social credit” system in China – has retained a number of American lobbying firms, including some with ties to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former President Barack Obama, and failed presidential candidate Senator Mitt Romney.

Ant Group is an offshoot of the Chinese company Alibaba, previously flagged by the U.S. State Department as a “tool” of the Chinese Communist Party and crucial to the regime’s build-up of “technology-facilitated surveillance and social control.” Ant Group also owns AliPay, a digital payment platform used by Beijing to institute vaccine passports, which have been used to render citizens unable to leave their houses and forced into quarantine.

Ant Group is a key component of China’s broader “social credit” system, sharing the data it collects on users’ spending habits and online activity with Chinese Communist Party regulators.

Social credit systems have raised concern in the West, with many fearing the weaponization of government and business surveillance to restrict individuals’ access to the economy and services based on specific behaviors – or even ideologies.

Despite these fears, several American lobbyists are working on behalf of Ant Group, appearing to help broaden the company’s operations and reach inside of the U.S.

Iran Warns It 'Has Technical Means to Produce Nuclear Bomb' but It's 'Not on Agenda'

Iran’s nuclear chief warned on Aug. 1 that the country has the “technical ability” to produce an atomic bomb but reiterated previous remarks by Iranian officials that the country has no intention of doing so, despite social media accounts linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) threatening to produce nuclear warheads for missiles.

Iran has now apparently enriched uranium to 60 percent purity, 20 to 30 percent below the purity required for building weapons, but has long-denied that it is seeking a nuclear weapon.

Talks between the two nations, albeit indirect, have so far proven unsuccessful owing to conflicts over Tehran’s demand that Washington provides guarantees that no U.S. president will abandon the deal in the future, something that Biden cannot promise because the nuclear deal is a non-binding political understanding and not a legally binding treaty.

The IRGC-linked Bisimchi Media (Radioman Media) Telegram channel published a video titled “When Will Iran’s Sleeping Nuclear Warheads Awaken,” in which it said that Tehran would start building nuclear bombs “in the shortest possible time” if “the U.S. or the Zionist regime make any stupid mistakes,” according to a translation by Iran International.

The video also states that Iran’s ballistic missiles could turn “New York into hellish ruins” and that “the nuclear facilities of Fordow [fuel enrichment plant] have been built deep under mountains of Iran and are protected against trench-busting bombs and even nuclear explosion… all infrastructures required for nuclear breakout have been prepared in it,” according to Iran International.

For many years we have calculated what would happen were China to move against Taiwan. Nowhere in those calculations have we included the possibility that we would be betrayed at the highest possible level. The press may struggle to avoid discussing the obvious, but Joe Biden was bought and paid for by Beijing long, long ago. The amount of money that has flowed into the Biden criminal enterprise from the Chinese Communist Party is staggering. Beijing did not pay Joe and his family all that money for nothing. They paid it, as they do worldwide in their elite capture program, to buy influence.

Joe is compromised. He is owned. Every action he has taken since he sat down in the White House has weakened the United States and strengthened the Chinese Communist Party.

Just a couple of thoughts. America should always be energy independent. American military vehicles should only be made with American steel. American military hardware should only use American made chips. The US is lucky enough that all of this is possible if we had a government that wasn't trying to destroy the Republic.
