I don't think Trump punted. He didn't say he endorsed "Eric's'. He said he supportd Eric…that is he endorsed only 'one' Eric.

Trump also reposted the Breitbart article about the dirty polling behind the Schmidt campaign.

Also, Eric Greitens publicly thanked Trump for his support…..Trump Jr retweeted it.

Has Schmidt put out such a public statement thanking Trump for his support?

why hasn't he if he has Trump's endorsement.

So evidence points to Trump's endorsement is for Greitens.
