God loved us as Himself. The people felt they needed sacrifice to atone for sin, Jesus told them the one who handed Him over committed the greater sin… Him.
No one took His Life from Him, He gave it willingly. He has the authority to give it and take it up again.
All the law and prophets hang on those two commandments. He loved us as Himself.
