Taiwan conducts psychological warfare drill with broadcasts, leaflets

>Taipei, July 28 (CNA) Taiwan's military on Thursday deployed a drone and several vehicles to drop leaflets and broadcast messages in a psychological warfare drill that was part of its annual Han Kuang exercises.

>During the drill in Taoyuan, a psychological warfare task force from the Political Warfare Bureau dispatched a drone to scatter leaflets, while its trucks broadcast video and audio propaganda to boost the morale of Taiwanese soldiers, in the scenario of an invasion by China.

>Meanwhile, a military truck blared sound effects of fighter jets flying by, shells dropping, and tanks rolling, which were all meant to distract and confuse the enemy on the battlefield, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) said.

>According to the ministry, cognitive warfare, disinformation campaigns, and rumor spreading have become a major part of modern warfare, alongside conventional kinetic warfare.

Heads up on this op, too:

Lebanese army conducts psychological warfare training with US team

BEIRUT: The Lebanese army command has announced it is taking part in psychological warfare training and exercises in cooperation with an American team.

>The operation is being held “as part of expertise exchange and joint training with specialized teams,” it said.

>The military activity comes at a time of political stalemate in Lebanon.

>There has been conflict between Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati and President Michel Aoun over mutual accusations of hindering the formation of a new government.

>Meanwhile, strikes in the Lebanese public sector have now reached the state-run National News Agency, leaving media outlets without an official news source.

>The strikes are happening against the backdrop of the central bank’s decision to allow judges to withdraw their salaries at an exchange rate of 8,000 Lebanese pounds to the US dollar, rather than the official rate of 1,507 pounds to the dollar.

No official news source? PSYOPS filled that gap quick. Also, sounds like blatant corruption from the incumbent gov.
