The Elephant is Dead
The 60 year old elephant named Bhogeshwara, but famously known as Mr. Kabini has passed away. Mr. Kabini was reportedly to be the elephant with the longest tusks in Asia. He breathed his last at Gundre range of the Bandipur Tiger Reserve.”
The tusks were removed and the carcass was left for the natural decomposition and scavengers to feed on.
