Genevieve Morton filed 2 lawsuits against Twitter
They're kind of a big deal. Morton sued twatter over copyright infringement because some accounts had ripped off her copyrighted photos and were posting pics of her very admirable figure.
So, why does that matter?
Well, it's a big deal for a few reasons. First, twatter didn't do anything about removing them - in fact, they didn't even have a person listed in the DMCA Registered Agent database (that's the guy who is responsible for handling DMCA Takedown Complaints). Twatter makes a big deal about how it handles copyright, but doesn't do shit.
Ok, weird but no biggie, right? Well, no. See, Morton and her lawyer also found out that twatter's algo intentionally biases in favor of showing tits for clicks, but it also intentionally clips faces so that people can't see who it is immediately. What a nice way to get around copyright law, right?
Still not doing it for ya? Ok, it puts twatter's shit in jeopardy because it's a big effin' deal to KNOWINGLY allow accounts to push CHILD PORN, which as it turns out twatter ADMITTED to doing in the answer to one of the complaints. No shit.
Now, twatter has fought back like little bitches, of course. They even tried to get the Registered Copyrights thrown out on a technicality, and the judge WENT THERE!
Unfortunately for the court, Morton later found out the same judge had a financial interest in twatter, and the fucker had to recuse himself. (That's kind of a big deal.)
Oh yeah, and just for shits-n-grins - TWATTER DIDN'T DISCLOSE THESE MAJOR LAWSUITS TO ELON.
