NOT science. the question is what IS an objective way to determine sentience? for example, i challenge anyone to prove that they are sentient. IMHO it comes down to action, free will. has the chatbot murdered anyone yet? no? then it is not sentient. make your own list of spontaneous acts of free will and ask if the chatbot has done any of those.
