Colorado Sec State Candidate Tina Peters Sues Every Clerk in Colorado over Recount Procedures

The El Paso County, Co. hand recount is now done. At least for now. Lawsuits filed are challenging the legality of the recount.

Earlier this week, The Gateway Pundit reported that the team of local candidates in El Paso County, CO filed a lawsuit against the Secretary of State and the El Paso Co Clerk. The lawsuit would compel the CO Secretary of State to conduct the recount while assigning the Clerk and Recorder as an official observer to the recount. It is alleged in the lawsuit that the current method of testing and conducting the recount is inconsistent with Colorado Revised Statutes.

The new filing by CO Secretary of State candidate Tina Peters expands upon the Factual allegations, including the recount observations below:

On Tuesday, The Gateway Pundit fact-checked a “fact” check done on a story reporting that El Paso had “failed” their Logic and Accuracy Test. In the fact check, LeadStories insisted that the Logic and Accuracy Test was successful. They based this on statements from the Secretary of State, the El Paso Clerk and Recorder, and Dominion Voting. All three of the above named have a vested interest in the results of the testing:

Dominion claimed the machines “are doing exactly what they have been configured to do during pre-election testing.” The machines had a 53% adjudication rate during the recount L&A test. Prior the the election, the L&A test had a much, much smaller adjudication rate. Therefore, the machines are not doing what they were configured to do during pre-election testing as Dominion stated.

The Secretary of State has been embroiled in controversy surrounding the elections in Colorado. She was an opponent to Ms. Peters getting a recount in the first place. Sec. Griswold will face the winner of this primary in the general election three months time. Tina Peters, who was the Trump and Lindell endorsed front runner in both polling and fundraising, somehow ended up in 2nd place, barely beating out Mike O’Donnell for the runner up spot, and losing to the (on-leave) Director of the board for Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL).

El Paso County Clerk Chuck Broerman was a candidate in the race.

Furthermore, if this was “completely expected”, then why did El Paso Co only account for one staffer for four hours and just four judges for a total of eight hours? The adjudication of 2,266 ballots one time would take longer than that. El Paso had to repeat that seven times for the remaining machines. That doesn’t seem very “expected”.

Pinal County Elections Director Resigns After Primary Election Debacle – County Recorder To Fill Role

Pinal County, Arizona has announced that David Frisk, the Elections Director who oversaw the Primary Election disaster in Pinal County on Tuesday, is no longer employed, and Virginia Ross has resigned from her role as County.

Trump-Endorsed Republican nominee for Governor tweeted, saying that he resigned from office. She also asked,

If your right to vote was literally taken away, is this person’s resignation enough to remedy that?

How much bigger would our win be if all these people were allowed to vote?

This is not enough.

We reported on the shortage of ballots in Pinal County and the disenfranchised voters who were literally turned away from the polls.

Pinal County released the following statement, announcing the resignation of County Recorder Virginia Ross and her appointment to the role of Elections Director, effective immediately.

In light of recent issues with Pinal County’s Primary Elections, the County can announce changes in the leadership of the Elections Department.

David Frisk is no longer in the position of Elections Director and is no longer employed by Pinal County.

As a result of discussions with the Board of Supervisors and County Leadership, and in order to restore confidence for voters in the November Election, Recorder Virginia Ross has resigned from her elected office and has been appointed Elections Director effective immediately. Ross is an experienced and highly-respected professional, who, prior to being elected as the Recorder in 2012, enjoyed a progressive career in the private sector for Fortune 100 and 500 corporations Ryder System, Inc. and IBM as a certified Project Manager, Telecommunications Manager, and Senior Contract Negotiator.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Ross did not oversee the Elections Department for this primary election in her role as the County Recorder. Ross was in charge of Pinal County Elections in her first term in 2014 and 2016, but with the growth of Pinal County, and as a result, an increase in Recorder responsibilities, an Elections Director was brought in to oversee the Elections Department from 2017. Since that time, the Elections Department has reported to County Management, which is overseen by the Board of Supervisors.

The Board of Supervisors will hold a Special Session Meeting in Florence on Friday at 11.15 am to appoint a Recorder to see out the remainder of Ms. Ross’s term, which runs through December 31, 2024.

“As a Board, we are deeply embarrassed and frustrated by the mistakes that have been made in this primary election, and as such, we are taking immediate steps to ensure the November election runs smoothly, as elections in Pinal County have historically done prior to this primary,” said Jeffrey McClure, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.

McClure continued, “It is vital that we restore trust with Pinal County voters, and I can assure the community that there is no better leader to take control of our Elections Department than Virginia Ross. As a fellow elected official, I am grateful to Virginia for sacrificing her elected role to answer the needs of Pinal County.”

Virginia Ross commented, “Having been the Recorder for Pinal County since 2013, this primary election has been a stinging experience for us all. I look forward to involving all stakeholders in Pinal County as we work together to finish this primary election, before immediately turning our attention to the November election.”

Ross continued, “I also want to take this opportunity to publicly thank my staff in the Recorder’s Office, who have provided me such stellar support since I took office in 2013.”

US Postpones ICBM Test Launch "To Avoid Misunderstanding" With China

The US delayed the test launch of an Air Force Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) following US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan earlier this week, which triggered Beijing to conduct war drills around the self-ruled island on Thursday.

WSJ said US officials were planning to launch the ICBM from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California but have delayed the launch to avoid escalating tensions with Beijing.

"This is a long-planned test, but it is being postponed to remove any misunderstandings given the PRC's [People's Republic of China] actions around Taiwan," a defense official told WSJ.

Minuteman III tests are conducted a few times a year to evaluate the reliability of the ICBM. The last delay was in March when the Pentagon halted an ICBM test flight to avoid escalating tensions with Moscow during the beginning weeks of the Ukraine invasion.

As we noted earlier, China kicked off a new round of war drills Thursday aimed at encircling and pressuring Taiwan in the wake of Pelosi's visit.

Meanwhile, the US also has serious military assets near Taiwan, including the USS Ronald Reagan carrier group…

While Beijing and Washington are on edge with military assets positioned in the Pacific, the Biden administration has had a change of heart about angering China with Pelosi's trip to now de-escalate the situation.

China First: Automakers Push to Allow EV Tax Credits for China-Sourced Batteries

Among the provision is an expansion of the $7,500 tax credits to help consumers buy electric vehicles. The bill eliminates the existing 200,000 vehicle cap under current law and creates a $4,000 credit for used electric vehicles.

The bill also significantly revises the criteria for which vehicles are eligible for the tax credits in a manner consistent with economic nationalist goals. Final assembly of the vehicles would have to occur in North America. Initially, forty percent of the value of critical minerals used in the electric vehicles’ batteries would have to originate in countries where the U.S. has a free trade agreement, moving up to 50 percent in 2024 and 80 percent in 2027. Vehicles satisfying the critical minerals requirement would be eligible for a tax credit of $3,750.

The bill also allows for an additional tax credit of $3,750 if at least 50 percent of the battery’s components are manufactured or assembled in North America. That ratchets up to 100 percent by 2029.

Importantly, the bill would prohibit the application of the above tax credits where a vehicle’s battery contains “any” critical minerals from China, Russia, or any “foreign entity of concern.”

Automakers have reportedly protested that they cannot meet the requirements and so their customers will not be able to take advantage of the tax credits. Although the tax credits go directly to car buyers, they benefit the manufacturers by subsidizing sales. Senator Manchin has balked at their protest.

From Reuters:

“Tell (automakers) to get aggressive and make sure that we’re extracting in North America, we’re processing in North America and we put a line on China,” Manchin told reporters. “I don’t believe that we should be building a transportation mode on the backs of foreign supply chains. I’m not going to do it.”

Manchin said the United States builds its own gasoline-powered vehicles and engines. “Now all of a sudden – now we can’t?” the senator from West Virginia asked. “Come on.”

Currently, most of the world’s refining of critical minerals for batteries is done in China. This makes EV production dependent on Chinese manufacturers, similar to the way Germany is dependent on Russian natural gas, giving China leverage over the U.S. through its chokehold on battery materials. On top of that, critical mineral refining capacity would be even more difficult to substitute than Russian natural gas, requiring far more time and greater capital investment.

Stabenow has claimed that U.S. automakers are “working really, really hard” so that supply chains do not have to run through China but argued that will take years, according to Roll Call. In the meantime, she wants the restrictions loosened. The result would be U.S. tax credits enriching China refiners and discouraging diversification of the world’s refining capacity.

Hungarian Prime Minister rails against media, encourages U.S.-Russia dialogue in CPAC speech

August 4, 2022 - 5:05pm

The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, came from Hungary to speak to American conservatives

Appearing at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Texas, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said the Biden administration put Europe under "ideological pressure."

"I want to be clear," Orban said. "We respect the government of the United States. We are guests here and we need to behave decently with the current administration as well. But there is another side of the coin which I cannot ignore. Your administration has put Europe and especially Brussels, under ideological pressure. This is not good for us. It's bad."

Orban then went on to criticize the Obama administration, saying the 44th president tried to get Hungary to change its fundamental law.

"The Obama administration tried to force us to change the fundamental law of Hungary and delete Christian and national values from it. Do you get it? The leading power of the free world wanted to force us to change our constitution according to the globalist liberal concept," he said. "How bizarre. This came as a surprise and caused us a lot of pain."

The Hungarian prime minister also called out media outlets for criticizing CPAC for hosting him. Outlets such as the New York Times wrote that Orban was against a "mixed race society," an allegation he addressed in his speech.

"I can already see tomorrow's headlines," Orban said, referring to the media. "Far right, European racist, and anti-semite, the Trojan horse of Putin comes to conservative conference. But I don't want to give them any ideas."

Orban than called the United States mainstream media "idiots."

"They know best how to write fake news," Orban continued in his speech. "Instead, I tell you the truth. In Hungary, we introduced a zero tolerance policy on racism and anti-semitism. So accusing us is fake news and those who make those claims are simply idiots. They are the industrial fake news corporation."

Orban ended his speech, expressing how it takes a strong leader to make peace and how without peace talks between Russia and the US, chaos will continue in Ukraine.

"In my view, the globalist leaders' strategy escalates and prolongs war and decreases the chance of peace," Orban asserted. "Without American and Russian talks, there will never be peace in Ukraine. More and more people will die and suffer. And our economies will come to the brink of collapse."
