ATTENTION POTUS:

My family has always voted Republican. We have

been HUGE supporters of yours. However, a lot of

my family have degenerative disc disease and are

in constant pain. The war on opioids has gotten out

of control to the point that people who NEED pain medication

to have a decent life where they are at least somewhat

comfortable can no longer get it. Even worse is in Alabama

we are being forced to choose between ANXIETY medication

and pain medication, which are for two completely different things.

I do realize we have a terrible crisis where so many people

are addicted to opioids and that needed to stop, but this should not be affecting people who legitimately need these medications.

It is cruel to make people

choose between pain medication and anxiety medication

that they need. A lot of my family are so sick of Republicans

making this their agenda and that could be a major reason

why Doug Jones won the Senate race. I know it is said that

you read this forum so PLEASE help people who are in

pain instead of treating them like drug addicts. It is sad to

see someone who has fought for their country and is in terrible

pain have to choose between their pain medication being cut or their benzos being taken away.
