Weird. FDA panel just voted to endorse development of 'new' formulations to address the .4 and .5 sub variants which are eluding the current jab 'capabilities'.
Long game - WH is spending down current covid monies and will be looking for huge 'new' infusion of $ to support the 'new' reformulated jabs. They should have waited and used the appropriated monies for the 'new' jabs' - but they need to hype the craze and skim more $.
