I want my people to be left alone, to have their freedom within their own lands..
..is not an analogue of "we need to take over and rule and enslave the whole world".
The difference is that the former does not preclude every group having the same right (on their own lands). The latter does.
One allows for balance, and no rule of one group over others. The other the opposite.
