Today is #InternationalBeerDay. The mascot of the 2nd Marine Division during WWII was a beer-guzzling duck named Siwash. The featherneck joined the leathernecks in storming Tarawa and was awarded a Purple Heart after receiving several pecks in a fight with a Japanese rooster.
