Former Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum and his close associate Sharon Lettman-Hicks could face a jury in April on federal public corruption charges.
U.S. District Judge Allen Winsor set an April 17 trial date at the U.S. Courthouse in Tallahassee for the duo, who were arrested in June. The trial could last as long as two weeks.
The charges against Gillum and Lettman-Hicks arose from the same undercover FBI investigation that began in 2015 and led to bribery convictions for former Mayor and City Commissioner Scott Maddox, his aide Paige Carter-Smith and businessman John “J.T.” Burnette.

A federal grand jury indicted Gillum and Lettman-Hicks on charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit mail fraud, with the former mayor facing an additional charge of lying to the government.

You’ve done well not to be jabbed, but if you do get the COOF, contact a FLCCC doctor with a telehealth appointment and get access to the cure. If your jabbed loved ones get the COOF anyway, it may be difficult to talk them into ivermectin, but you can mention it - and you’ve done your part. I know this is difficult, frustrating and heartbreaking…I prayed for you, anon.

New York Health Department says hundreds of people may be infected with polio virus
New York state health officials have found indications of additional cases of polio virus in wastewater samples from two different counties, leading them to warn that hundreds of people may be infected with the potentially serious virus.
Just two weeks ago, the New York Health Department reported the nation's first case of polio in almost a decade, in Rockland County, north of New York City. Officials said that case occurred in a previously healthy young adult who was unvaccinated and developed paralysis in their legs. Since then, three positive wastewater samples from Rockland County and four from neighboring Orange County were discovered and genetically linked to the first case, the health department said in a press release on Thursday, suggesting that the polio virus is being spread within local communities. The newest samples were taken from two locations in Orange County in June and July and one location in Rockland County in July.

Pentagon denies DC request for National Guard migrant help

The Pentagon rejected a request from the District of Columbia seeking National Guard assistance in what the mayor has called a “growing humanitarian crisis” prompted by thousands of migrants being bused to the city from two southern states.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin declined to provide Guard personnel and the use of the D.C. Armory to assist with the reception of migrants into the city, according to U.S. defense officials. Mayor Muriel Bowser said Friday that the district may send an amended, “more specific” request, adding that she believes this is the first time a D.C. request for National Guard has been denied.
One official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a decision not yet made public, said that the Federal Emergency Management Agency's food and shelter program has provided funding for the problem, and has indicated those funds are sufficient at this point.
Bowser, the district's Democratic mayor, formally asked the White House last month for an open-ended deployment of 150 National Guard members per day as well as a “suitable federal location” for a mass housing and processing center, mentioning the D.C. Armory as a logical candidate.
During the spring, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, both Republicans, announced plans to send busloads of migrants to Washington, D.C., in response to President Joe Biden’s decision to lift a pandemic-era emergency health order that restricted migrant entry numbers by denying them a chance to seek asylum. The rule remains in effect under court order.
On Friday, Abbott said the first group of migrants from his state had now been bused to New York as well.
