In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury and public slander. A Government, who has been entrusted with the sacred honor of being Of The People, By The People and For the People, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be Leaders of a free people.
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our American Bretheren who share not our Passion and to all other Citizens of the World. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their own Governments and World Governmental Bodies to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over them. We have constantly reminded them of the circumstances provoking the foundation of the united States of America. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common humanity to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably lead to the elimination of freedoms for all mankind as Granted us by Our Creator. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of our common brotherhood. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Civic Restoration, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
We, therefore, the Citizens of the united States of America, as evidenced to our General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these united States of America, solemnly publish and declare, That these united States of America are, and of Right ought to be under the Leadership of a Free and Independent Citizenry; that all political connection between them and the current holders of Public Office of all Federal, State and Lesser Governmental Bodies and Agencies, is and ought to be totally eliminated and subsequently restored under the original framework of our Supreme Law as dictated by the Constitution of the united States of America as ratified in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Nine; and that as Free and Independent Citizens, they have full Power, through newly elected representatives to the restored Governmental Framework, to establish or eliminate Governmental Bodies and Agencies, retain or create Political Boundaries of the Nation and for each of the several States, levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent Citizens through a Representative Republic may of right do. And for the support of this Restoration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
