President Trump held nothing back when addressing the chaos of America’s open border crisis during his remarks at CPAC in Texas on Saturday evening.
He described a series of chillingly violent crimes committed by illegal aliens, even sharing the case of an illegal immigrant out on bond who was charged with decapitating someone’s body in a public park.
“Think of this,” he told the horrified crowd. “Animals.”
He added, “Every death at the hands of a criminal illegal alien is entirely preventable…this is all preventable stuff.”

Trump additionally called for the death penalty for drug dealers and human traffickers, telling CPAC attendees that he believed that would reduce the level of both serious crimes by a whopping 50 percent.
“Republicans in Congress must make clear that on their watch, not a single penny of taxpayer money will go to funding Joe Biden’s open border – it’s a sick agenda,” he said.
He further pointed out that America sends “billions and billions and even trillions of dollars” to countries that are thousands of miles away, and yet we don’t secure our own borders in the U.S.
“Next year,” he concluded, “we have to use the purse strings to send a message to every would-be illegal alien all over the world: if you break into our country illegally you will be caught, we will detain you, and we will quickly send you back to the place from which you came or put you in prison immediately.”

President Donald J. Trump asserted that the time for a takedown of the “radical left socialist lunatics” is now while addressing attendees of CPAC 2022 in Dallas on Saturday.
“We have to take this chance to shatter the corrupt Washington establishment once and for all,” Trump said.
“We have to run aggressive, unrelenting, and boldly populist campaigns … and we have to throw off the shackles of globalism and reassert two very important words,” he continued, adding that the two words were, “very simply, ‘America First.’”

Holding that a failure to act could result in America becoming “Venezuela on steroids,” the president said:
“America is on the edge of an abyss, and our movement is the only force on earth that can save it—this movement right here. What we do in the next few months and the next few years will determine whether American civilization will collapse and fail or whether it will triumph and thrive, frankly, like never before.”
“This is no time for complacency,” Trump added, noting that the left’s defeat must be “crippling.”
The remarks came on the heels of a successful week for the president as the primary wins of several Trump-endorsed candidates made clear that he is still the kingmaker in the Republican Party.

Earlier this month, Trump ripped Pelosi for her actions. Her move to fly to Taiwan previously drew a swift threat from a Chinese propagandist who stated that if Pelosi’s aircraft entered Taiwan, the People’s Liberation Army would have the “right” to “shoot” down her plane.
President Trump stated that Pelosi would “only make things worse” in a statement posted to Truth Social.
The 45th president added at CPAC, “We played right into their hands but we will save our nation, and American power, prosperity, and prestige will come back and it’ll come back strongly. Victory cannot come a moment too soon.”

Trump dominates CPAC presidential straw poll
Former President Donald Trump handily won the Conservative Political Action Conference’s 2024 straw poll, indicating he remains the first choice of Republican activists for the party’s presidential nomination.
The final numbers, released Saturday at the conference in Dallas, showed Trump out in front with 69% support.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in a distant second with 24%, while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) followed in third with 2% — a dozen other candidates including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Florida Sen. Rick Scott all received 1% or less.
A whopping 99% of conference attendees said they approved of Trump’s job as president.
DeSantis — who did not attend the conservative confab in Dallas — was the odds-on favorite among CPAC attendees should Trump decline to seek the nomination, with a large plurality of attendees also saying he would be the best choice to serve as a potential vice president for Trump.
The results show that despite being banned from Twitter and fading from national headlines, the former president would remain the odds-on favorite to win the nomination in November should he decide to run.
Trump has routinely dominated CPAC straw polls since leaving office and Saturday’s results tracks previous surveys.
“No Republican can stop Trump from the nomination; no Democrat can stop Trump from the presidency,” former White House counselor Steve Bannon told The Post.
