and they would rob libraries and buy out bookstores
to keep anything they disagreed with away from the public
the King James version of the bible
is the best representation
because it preserves the poetic nature of the original
the only problems are that in the old Hebrew
there was no punctuation or structure to texts
so mistakes were made about ends/beginnings of sentences
if, indeed, these are written in such sentences
lots of versions trying to rewrite and re-guess
the words of scripture
IMO, it can be a convoluted mess
translations through 4 languages
dependent on available words in new speech
