What Q did best for us was to present us with reasons to research material we might not have otherwise looked at. Each occasion united anons as a very good research team.
I'll also add that one of the site admin's family members "follows Q" and I think that might be why they're giving it a chance. They did say they will delete the board if there's no regular activity on it, so there's that.
