NSC meeting: Pakistan commits to work with FATF, world bodies

Background: FATF gave Pakistan a June deadline to come into compliance or be 'grey listed'

Dr Akhtar gave a detailed presentation to the meeting about the upcoming FATF meeting in Paris and the measures, both administrative as well as legal, taken so far to meet the FATF requirements, says a press release issued by the PM Office.

Reviewing various actions taken towards fulfilling the country’s international responsibilities under the FATF framework, the meeting expressed satisfaction over the progress made. The meeting directed that the progress should be shared with the FATF Secretariat in the upcoming meeting, and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to work with FATF and other international organisations in achieving common goals and shared objectives.

The country’s internal and external situation was also discussed during the meeting. The military officials briefed the meeting on the ongoing actions against terrorism and other measures being taken.

The prime minister also briefed the committee on his recent telephonic conversation with the US Vice President Mike Pence, who called him on Thursday to congratulate him on assuming the PM’s office and discussed other matters of strategic importance.

The June FATF meeting in Paris is scheduled for June 24-29th

The FATF's plenary year begins in July and ends in June. Argentina holds the Presidency during this Plenary year.

During a plenary year, the FATF holds three plenary meetings, a meeting of experts on typologies, and, depending on the focus of current work, intersessional meetings and meetings of various ad hoc groups. The plenary meetings usually take place in October, February and June of each year.

All of these meetings are only open to delegations from FATF members, observer jurisdictions and observer organisations. They are not open to the public.

Nunes' DOJ deadline is TODAY. Hand over alleged FBI informant documents or it is OBSTRUCTION.

Obstructing Congressional or Administrative Proceedings

(18 U.S.C. 1505)

shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years (not more than 8 years if

the offense involves domestic or international terrorism), or both.

Prosecutions under §1505 have been relatively few, at least until recently, and most of these arise as obstructions of administrative proceedings.

>Its all coming together for me like the ending cuts of a mystery movie.

I just hope the left-behind US parents are included in this movie. There are THOUSANDS that need to be reunited with their children/family. The corrupt have interfered with US families for money much too long.
