Wth Sindona no longer available by the mid 1970s Paul VI appointed a replacement. “Mr. Roberto Calvi replaced Mr. Sindona as a key financial advisor to the Vatican” (Raab 1982, Cornwell 1986). Roberto Calvi was another notorious Mafia banker with long standing ties to the Vatican Bank, as well as a Mason (Cornwell 1986, Owen 2005).
