I apologize in advance if I am being unfair. However, your post comes across being an Islamic apologia and it implies it is a mutual Christian / Islam problem. I think that is a bad premise and a false narrative. It is Islam that needs to mature and grow up. It is the tribal bits and old testament brutality that are simply incompatible with literally everyone else in the world. Not talking politics and who did what to whom… I mean only the tone and actions of various groups of people.
Buddhists, Shintoism, Hindu's, Christians, Atheists, Taoism, Judaism, Bahá'í…… they all seem to get along more or less.
Islam has a big problem. They need to fix it.
