Almost as fun as a short landing. Did the short landing on the runway at Mogadishu and watched as they did the rocket assist on the way out. Couple of big mortar craters in the middle of the runway.
When I went through it they just cut the engines at stall speed and drop from about 100 feet. Dropped like a fucking rock. Told us goodbye if it doesn't work about 3 seconds before they did it.
