The other important thing, regardless of launch, is that any US Sub with dive planes on the sail (conning tower) is an old model, and would surely be an old Ohio class Boomer.

All our new models do NOT have dive planes on the sails at all.

Abandoned after Ohio class design. New dive planes can fold against the bow up front and are called Bow planes now.
