Until proven otherwise I'm going to say this was a launch, there has been speculation of the long fire trail and to that end I offer you an air force shot of an ICBM launch (pic related). Evening exposures can cause this, someone said space weapon and I think thats more unlikely than the theory its trying to replace.

Hightly unlikely, the hack aspect is nice but a Surface to Surface Missile hitting a moving target is a whole lot of work for a 0 success chance. Hacking to hit the summit theres a shot, not sure about the timing though have to dig deeper.

Here is what I can best theorize from the sum parts:
1) There is a HUGE, in fact the Main US Boomer (Nuke Sub) base in Pugent Sound WA. Location of Observed Launch
2) Q posted a pic of a Sub, IN PUGENT Sound. Not only that but from my amatuer observation it apears to be a BOOMER (Ohio Class Nuclear ICBM Platform).
3) Q referenced Coms Dark Think Hack. This is incredibly scary but lets look at the MOA for BOOMERS, the run on Comms Dark in fact they spend most of their time in Silent Service. They get communications orders by long wave RF that literally travels through the earth. Here's Scary:
Theory 1
Someone Hacked the Launch system and fired off a Polaris type ICBM. ICBM was destroyed bif flight by self destruct overide. Note this has to happen < 7(?) minutes. I put this at a very low probability as nucelar safeguards are fairly thick. Though maybe someone got the codes to Lynn somehow?
Theory 2
I think what Q meant by "D" was D(efensive) action. Meaning that the launch was a defensive move to counter an impending or completed action.
a) It was a launch, with a Standown Demand attached, stand down resulted in Self Destruct. IE Call off X or a 15 megaton Polaris will be inserted in your D.U.M.B. ass.
b) Somewhere in the world right now there is a highly radioactive site that was formerly inhabitted but won't be again for a few hundred years: DUMB< or maybe somewhere in IRAN.
Thats the best I got, it's really hard to say for sure but my Gut says that we didn't loose control of our arsenal and that it was a D launch that we will never be able to disclose.
