Even with a known direction of the camera - and even known time of day or hell, position of hte moon for all that that matters (hint: It doesn't) you still CANNOT determine the trajectory of an object without a second image at near-exactly the same time, from a significantly different angle to make a comparison - because of a number of what 'should' be obvious factors, all related to basic geometry and spatial perspective.

If 'nuclear' then yes - uranium, plutonium, thorium, etc all have specific signatures based on their rate of decay that can be tracked back to the origin.
