During ICEX-86, USS Ray (SSN-653), USS Hawkbill (SSN-666), and USS Archerfish (SSN-678) became the first three submarines to simultaneously surface at the North Pole. ICEX-86 included firing MK48 torpedoes to test how they operated under ice. #SubSunday
