I am old enough to remember November 2020, when the Washington Post dismissed the idea of $5/gallon gas as "a dubious meme" that "emerged online in conservative circles"

And these are the fact-checkers who will determine for us what's true and what's a "conspiracy theory"?

Liberals wonder why we don't trust legacy media anymore and get news from alternative sources.

Maybe because a "dubious meme" on Facebook ended up being far more accurate than "the experts" quoted in the Washington Post.
