BO responds to inquiry about notables being changed, noting that is happening because of bakers or others going back to re-do pb notes, thinking they are not up to snuff.
Generally speaking, once it's baked, IT'S BAKED
This speaks to the importance of RESPECTING what note-takers and bakers post as notables.
Other bakers and anons may think notes should be better or different. But the one who takes the notes first is the one who takes responsibility and deserves the respect that's due. It's up to those who are there in the moment to step up. When they do, their work cannot be discarded because someone later comes up with something else.
This has been an increasing problem that has to stop.
SOLUTION
BAKERS on duty__
-
Try to be complete but also listen to anon feedback. If anons consistently complain that notes are too sparse, ask yourself, WHY? Don't assume you know more than all the other anons.
-
At the same time, avoid nit-picking other bakers' notables. Each baker has his own style, let each one have the final say.
-Always incorporate previous baker's ghosted notables; you can add but not subtract.Make strong efforts to include notes made by note collectors if they are well done, especially if note collectors are SIGNED IN. Don't just throw out note-taker notes and sub in your own.
Anons in subsequent breads:
Want different notes? It's too late. Diggers can repost key stuff. Baker of current bread MAY add a link to anon notes if he wishes but should not be forced to do so.
We need to ENCOURAGE bakers and note collectors to collect even when they are inexperienced and need practice.
BAKERS:
BAKE YOUR OWN BREADS, LET OTHER BAKERS BAKE THEIRS
