Longtime Arkansas Judge Jeremiah T. Bueker was found at the bottom of Mud Lake on Sunday.

Judge Bueker had gone missing on Saturday. After an extensive search by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies, Judge Bueker’s body was found at 9:16 AM on Sunday.

Authorities believe he tried to go swimming alone in the lake.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on Sunday.

BODY OF ARKANSAS COUNTY NORTHERN DISTRICT COURT JUDGE LOCATED, RECOVERED IN LAKE: Jefferson County, Arkansas – August 7, 2022 – The body of Arkansas County Northern District Judge Jeremiah T. Bueker, 48 has been recovered.

Bueker, several family members and friends spent their weekend in Jefferson County, Arkansas as part of their recreational travel. At some point during their outing, Bueker reportedly ventured off alone. After time had passed and no one had seen or heard from Bueker, worry began to set in. A search for Bueker by family and friends began.

Bueker was last seen near Mud Lake, which channels into the Arkansas River just north of Achorn Drive in Reydell, Arkansas. Unable to immediately locate Bueker and well past sunset, Bueker’s Family called 9-1-1.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched by the Metropolitan Emergency Communications Association (MECA) just before midnight and immediately responded. Upon arrival, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol, joined wildlife officers with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission began an extensive ground and water search. Boats were deployed to aid in the search of Bueker. The continued well into the early morning before both ground and water searches were suspended due to low visibility.

Just after sunrise, deputies and wildlife officers resumed their search for Bueker and scoured the depth and breadth of Mud Lake.

“The boats used were equipped with side-scan sonar, which provides a birds-eye view of the water, Sheriff Lafayette Woods, Jr. said.”

At approximately 9:16 a.m., the side-scan sonar revealed a body on the bottom of the lake. Deputies utilized subsurface body recovery drag/rescue hooks to recover Bueker’s body. Upon recovery of the body, deputies and investigators with the assistance of family positively identified the body as that of Bueker.

Sheriff Woods said, “I truly pray that the successful recovery of Judge Bueker’s body by our deputies and Arkansas Game & Fish Wildlife Officers brings some sense of closure to the Bueker Family and those who knew him best. The scour of emotions they must feel right now is devastating.”

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office was notified and arrived at the scene a short time later, where Bueker was pronounced deceased. Bueker’s death is being investigated as an accidental drowning; however, his body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Russia suspends US inspections of nuclear military sites

Western sanctions are preventing Russian inspectors from doing their job under the START treaty, Moscow says

Moscow has informed Washington of a “temporary withdrawal” from the inspection regime under the START nuclear disarmament treaty, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday. Citing treaty provisions for “exceptional circumstances,” Russia is saying the Western sanctions have prevented its inspectors from performing their duties, thus giving US inspectors an unfair advantage. Once the principle of parity and equality is restored, the inspections will resume, Russia said.

Moscow cited “anti-Russian unilateral restrictive measures” imposed by the US and its allies, such as visa restrictions on Russian inspectors and a ban on Russian aircraft in US and EU airspace. These restrictions effectively make Russian inspections under the treaty impossible, while Americans “do not experience such difficulties.”

“The Russian Federation is now forced to resort to this measure as a result of Washington’s persistent desire to implicitly achieve a restart of inspection activities on conditions that do not take into account existing realities, create unilateral advantages for the United States and effectively deprive the Russian Federation of the right to carry out inspections on American soil,” the foreign ministry said.

Russia “raised this issue with the relevant countries, but did not receive an answer.” Until these problems are resolved, “it would be premature to resume inspection activities under the START Treaty, on which the American side insists.”

As justification for the measure, Moscow cited cited the relevant section of the treaty protocol that covers extraordinary circumstances. Washington has been officially informed through diplomatic channels.

“We would like to emphasize that the measures we have taken are temporary. Russia is fully committed to complying with all the provisions of the START Treaty, which in our eyes is the most important instrument for maintaining international security and stability,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

As soon as the “existing problematic issues” are resolved, the inspections can resume again in full, according to Moscow.

The New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (known as New START) went into effect in 2011, and limits the number of nuclear warheads and their delivery vehicles that the US and Russia are allowed to possess. It is the only remaining arms control agreement between the two nuclear powers, after the US withdrawal from the INF and Open Skies treaties in recent years. New START almost expired before it was extended in February 2021, and ought to remain in effect until 2026.

Though US President Joe Biden said he had offered Russia talks on a new treaty, which would include China as well, Moscow said last week that it had received only “declarative statements” and not concrete proposals.

US Approves $4.5 Billion Package to Ukraine – And Another $1 Billion in Military Aid!

America last.

The US approved a $4.5 billion package to Ukraine for ‘budget needs,’ Reuters reported on Monday.

Biden also approved another $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine – a total of $5.5 billion in one day!

This latest infusion is on top of the BILLIONS the US has already sent Ukraine in the last few months

Ukrainian oligarchs are filling their coffers while Americans suffer because of high inflation rates.

Reuters reported:

The United States will provide an additional $4.5 billion to Ukraine’s government, bringing its total budgetary support since Russia’s February invasion to $8.5 billion, the U.S. Agency for International Development said on Monday.

The funding, coordinated with the U.S. Treasury Department through the World Bank, will go to the Ukraine government in tranches, beginning with a $3 billion disbursement in August, USAID, the Agency for International Development, said.

It follows previous transfers of $1.7 billion in July and $1.3 billion in June, USAID said. Washington has also provided billions of dollars in military support, and plans a new $1 billion weapons package shortly.

It’s one giant scam.

CBS released a documentary titled “Arming Ukraine.”

The documentary looks into what has happened to the military weapons that have been given to Ukraine.

The documentary exposed that only “like 30%” of weapons given to Ukraine reached their final destination.

Two Georgia Counties FOR a Hand Recount Suddenly Change Course

It is extremely important to understand the state of affairs and levels of corruption in Georgia’s elections. Before we can get into the two Georgia counties who have disregarded the will of their constituents and instead sided with questionable legal representation, we must first get an overview of Georgia’s election history since 2020:

We have enough credible evidence, mostly sourced through Open Records Requests and public information, to warrant a thorough investigation into the 2020 election in Georgia. There will be much more on this coming in the following days from The Gateway Pundit. However, we cannot get even a simple examination of physical paper ballots.

Fulton County as well as the Secretary of State’s office have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, maybe millions by this point, defending the precious ballots from any inspection in the VoterGa.org cases, among others. With less than one month left in the federally mandated retention of said ballots, I’m afraid the State of Georgia has successfully run a disruption campaign to kick the proverbial can down the road just long enough to thwart physical examinations.

Fast forward to the 2022 Primary

In the GOP primary, the two politicians responsible for the unconstitutional Dominion Voting machines benefited greatly from them. In a case of another Raffensperger Special, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Brian Kemp mysteriously outperformed their polling numbers by more than 23% and 17%, respectively.

German media sheds light on Zelensky’s ‘secret deals’

Die Welt published an excerpt from a new biography which describes alleged cases of corruption involving Ukraine’s president

German newspaper Die Welt has put Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s “secret deals” under the microscope, publishing an extract from a new book which suggests the head of state may have evaded taxes at home.

Published last Wednesday, the excerpt comes from a new book released this month, ‘Zelensky: A Biography’. The paper cited parts of the book that deal with alleged cases of corruption involving the Ukrainian president.

It says that in 2019, Zelensky was found to have offshore accounts in Cyprus, and research by Slidstvo.info revealed that the former comedian owns companies in the British Virgin Islands and Belize, including the “previously unknown” Maltex Multicapital Corp., which owns apartments in central London worth $7.5 million. The corporation is also said to have received a total of $40 million from Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoysky since 2012. Zelensky apparently transferred his shares in this company to a close friend shortly before the 2019 presidential election, which he went on to win.

While it was not clear what the purpose behind the scheme was, Ukrainian investigative journalists speculated at the time that Zelensky might have used it to dodge taxes at home, or that he participated in money laundering for Kolomoysky.

Russia Launches Airstrikes Against US-Backed Fighters in Syria Near US Base

The strikes mark the second time in two months Russia targeted the area near the US's al-Tanf base in southern Syrian

Russia announced on Friday that it conducted an airstrike against a group of US-backed militants in Syria near al-Tanf, a US military base located in the south of the country.

Russia said it targeted Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn (ShQ), a group that has fought against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Moscow said the Russian Aerospace Forces ” identified and destroyed” a group of ShQ militants.

“This terrorist group is based in the Al-Tanf zone, supplied and trained by instructors from the US Army Special Operations Forces,” the Russian Defense Ministry said. “Operating from the desert, the Liwa Shuhada al-Qaryatayn militants carried out acts of sabotage against the civilian population and civilian infrastructure in Syria.”

The Pentagon confirmed that the strikes took place in comments to Newsweek, but didn’t provide any details. US Central Command told Newsweek that “CENTCOM is aware of the strike, but does not have information to provide to you on this.”

The US was said to cut off support for ShQ in 2017. In 2018, the group was said to be relocating from the southern area near al-Tanf to northern Syria.

The strikes mark the second time that Russia has targeted US-backed fighters near al-Tanf. Back in June, Russia targeted Maghawir al-Thawra, formerly known as the New Syrian Army. Russia notified the US before launching the strikes on Maghawir al-Thawra, which targeted buildings the group was using at al-Tanf.

600% More Deaths Reported In Last 19 Months Than In Entire 32 Year History of VAERS Database

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began two years ago, the US government has poured billions of your tax dollars into the vaccine program. More than $9 billion of your tax dollars were given to vaccine companies for research and $22 billion of your tax dollars were then used to support vaccine distribution. The feds also shelled out another $10 billion to expand access and currently announced $3 billion more to spend on an ad campaign to combat vaccine hesitancy.

The US government spent well over $130 for every man, woman, and child in America to push the COVID-19 vaccines and yet over one-third of the country still refuses to get fully jabbed while nearly 70 percent refuse to take the booster. Why is that?

Periodically, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) releases the new information on reports submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). The number of reports are at historical levels and more deaths and adverse events have been reported than ever before.

Before going any further, as not to set off the “fact checkers,” it is important to point out that just because data is submitted to the CDC through VAERS, this does not in anyway mean that these reactions are related to the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the CDC:

One of the main limitations of VAERS data is that it cannot determine if the vaccine caused the reported adverse event. This limitation has caused confusion in the publicly available data from VAERS WONDER, specifically regarding the number of reported deaths. There have been instances where people have misinterpreted reports of deaths following vaccination as deaths caused by the vaccines; that is not accurate. VAERS accepts all reports of adverse health events following vaccinations without judging whether the vaccine caused the adverse health event. Some reports to VAERS represent true vaccine reactions and others are coincidental adverse health events and not related to vaccination.

However, also according to the CDC, “VAERS is a national early warning system to detect possible safety problems in U.S. licensed vaccines.” And, given the sheer volume of reports, alarm bells should be sounding everywhere. Yet the are not.

While the CDC assures us that their database is inaccurate, the volume of claims should be enough to raise some serious red flags.

Group of 50 Child Migrants Apprehended at Border in Arizona Desert

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a group of 51 migrants after they illegally crossed from Mexico into Arizona. The group included an 11-month-old child and 49 other minors.

Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John R. Modlin tweeted a photo showing a group of 51 migrants apprehended by Tucson Station Border Patrol agents. The agents reported the group consisted mostly of Guatemalan migrants.

Modlin stated that of the 51 migrants, only one was an adult. The 50 minors also included an 11-month-old infant.

The human smuggling incident tied up multiple agents who had to take care of processing, feeding, providing medical screening, and transportation for the unaccompanied minors.

Elsewhere in the sector, Nogales Station agents received a tip from a concerned citizen regarding a possible human smuggling incident, Modlin tweeted.

Agents from the Nogales Station made contact with the vehicle near Green Valley, Arizona, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle failed to yield and led agents on a pursuit.

The driver eventually lost control and crashed into the brush.

Agents found six adults and three juvenile migrants inside the smuggler’s SUV.

Amazon Buys Roomba Company, Will Now Map Inside of Your House

The corporate giant has purchased a company that uses robots to map the interior of people’s homes. Also, it vacuums.

Megacorporation Amazon has expanded its empire of data capturing devices by spending $1.7 billion purchasing beloved maker of vacuuming robots and former beloved maker of warzone robots iRobot, which makes Roombas. In addition to tidying up, Roombas are also great at mapping the interior of your home and creating marketable data for its parent company.

This, and its recent acquisition of One Medical, have made it harder and harder to escape Amazon’s panopticon and further entrench Jeff Bezos’s bookstore as an inescapable omnicorporation with its hands in every part of your daily life.

The iRobot acquisition also comes a year after Amazon revealed the Astro—a little Alexa on wheels that spies on you. Leaked documents acquired by Motherboard revealed that one of the goals of Astro was to create a robot that intelligently plotted out the interior of a user’s homes, even creating heat maps of highly trafficked areas. The Astro has not been well received, but people love their robot vacuums, which often do the same thing.

The news also comes weeks after the corporate giant purchased the healthcare company One Medical for $3.9 billion. These recent acquisitions give Amazon access to medical records, maps of customer homes, voice samples through Alexa, home network activity through its Eero brand of mesh routers, videos of neighborhoods and random passersby through Ring cameras, and a wealth of consumer data through its website. Then consider that a giant portion of the internet runs on Amazon Web Services, that 1 out of every 153 Americans is an Amazon worker, that it owns a large and popular grocery store chain, just subsumed GrubHub into its orbit, so on and so forth.

Even if you want to avoid it, it’s become impossible for Amazon to not touch some portion of your life. Amazon has repeatedly violated labor laws, puts its warehouse employees in dangerous work environments, and repeatedly shared footage from its Ring cameras with cops without getting a warrant. There’s a lot of reasons to boycott Amazon.

That’s increasingly hard to do. Even if you stopped buying things from Amazon, stopped watching The Boys, and removed every bit of Amazon backed tech from your home, you’d still have to contend with Amazon Web Services. The cloud servers have a 33% market share and are the single biggest point of failure for the internet. If you’re on the internet, then you’re surfing in the AWS cloud. It’s inescapable.

Litzman gets minor fine, no jail for shielding alleged pedophile Leifer from justice

Lenient sentence comes as part of plea deal; ex-health minister has admitted to unsuccessfully working to undermine extradition of accused sexual predator Malka Leifer to Australia

A Jerusalem court handed down an extremely light sentence to former minister Yaakov Litzman on Monday, as part of a plea deal that allowed him to avoid jail time. In exchange, Litzman admitted to abusing his powers in a failed bid to thwart the extradition of a suspected pedophile wanted in Australia.

Under the deal, the former United Torah Judaism party leader pleaded guilty to breach of trust, but prosecutors dropped an obstruction of justice charge, allowing him to avoid a moral turpitude enhancement that would have banned him from politics for several years.

The ex-health minister was accused of using his position to protect Malka Leifer, a former principal of an Orthodox girls’ school in Melbourne, who fled to Israel when accused of sexually assaulting minors.

Instead of jail time, Litzman was given a fine of NIS 3,000 ($907) and an eight-month suspended sentence, which will only go into effect if he commits the same crime again within the next three years.

Last week, Litzman resigned from the Knesset as part of the deal, after holding his seat for 23 years. He promised to remain involved in politics.

According to the court ruling, Jerusalem District Attorney Danny Vitman argued at the sentencing hearing that the severity of Litzman’s actions was clear, but added that “there were no financial or personal interests” that motivated Litzman, and that “his actions did not cause damage.”

Litzman’s attorney Jack Chen said that the former lawmaker “took responsibility for his actions,” and defended him: “Out of 600,000 inquiries that he handled, on this occasion, there was a failure of judgment.”

Pfizer Spends $5.4 Billion Cash to Purchase Company That Specializes in Treatment of Blood Disorders

Thinking about it, this certainly does appear to be a purchase based on self-interest. The company that manufactured a product, potentially creating long-term issues with blood disorders (ie clotting), now purchases the company that specializes in the treatment of blood disorders.

Am I the only one that sees this as sketchy?

Aug 8 (Reuters) – Pfizer Inc on Monday agreed to pay $5.4 billion in cash for Global Blood Therapeutics (GBT.O), as it looks to capitalize on a surge in revenue from its COVID-19 vaccine and treatment.

Pfizer will pay $68.50 per GBT share, which represents a 7.3% premium to its Friday closing price. The deal is at a more than 40% premium where GBT was trading before the Wall Street Journal reported that Pfizer was in advanced talks to buy it on Thursday.

Pfizer’s 2021 revenue of $81.3 billion was nearly double the mark from the previous year, due to COVID-19 vaccine sales. With the addition of its COVID-19 antiviral pill Paxlovid, Pfizer is expected to generate around $100 billion in revenue this year, but sales from both products are expected to decline going forward.

Pfizer has been on the lookout for acquisitions that could bring in billions in annual sales by the end of the decade. (read more)

Aamir Malik, Pfizer’s top dealmaker, said the company was focused on improving growth for the second half of the decade. “We think that there are opportunities across all therapeutic areas that we’re active in,” Malik said.

Liz Cheney’s Husband Is Partner At Law Firm Representing Hunter Biden

Philip Perry, who is married to Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, is a partner at the same law firm representing President Joe Biden’s scandal-ridden son, Hunter.

Last week, the Daily Mail reached out to Hunter Biden’s attorney for comment on a story unearthing new details to the extent the younger Biden leveraged the family name for lucrative overseas business ventures. In 2014, the paper reported, then-Vice President Biden met with a pair of Chinese energy executives connected to Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals.

An attorney named Christopher Clark, who is listed with the firm Latham & Watkins as partner, responded to the Daily Mail’s request for comment calling the reporter a “parasite” in an otherwise nonsensical email full of typos.

The vice president’s 2014 encounter with Chinese energy tycoons marks the fifteenth such meeting with businessmen tied to Hunter Biden’s financial interests, and contradicts Biden’s repeated claims of never discussing business with his son, “or with anyone else.” The first son is currently under federal investigation for money laundering and foreign lobbying.

Perry is also listed as a partner with Lathan & Watkins on the firm’s website while his wife runs for re-election on an anti-Trump platform ahead of the Wyoming primary next week.

Cheney faces an uphill contest from Trump-endorsed attorney Harriet Hageman in a state that voted for former President Donald Trump two years ago by a wider margin than anywhere else in the country. A poll sponsored by the Casper-Star Tribune last month shows Hageman up by 22 points as Cheney tries to clinch a fourth term by appealing to Democrats. Even if every Democrat in the state were to change their registration to back Cheney in the primary, however, Cheney’s Trump-backed opponent remains likely to prevail where Republicans outnumber Democrats more than 200,000 to 43,000.

On Sunday, the New York Times published a profile of the race ahead of next week’s contest chronicling Cheney’s failing campaign.

“She no longer provides advance notice about her Wyoming travel and, not welcome at most county and state Republican events, has turned her campaign into a series of invite-only House parties,” the Times reported.

“What’s more puzzling than her schedule is why Ms. Cheney, who has raised over $13 million, has not poured more money into the race, especially early on when she had an opportunity to define Ms. Hageman,” the paper added. “Ms. Cheney had spent roughly half her war chest as of the start of July, spurring speculation that she was saving money for future efforts against Mr. Trump.”

The Wyoming congresswoman likely to lose her seat in the next Congress has been laying the foundation for a presidential run in 2024.

“If I have to choose between maintaining a seat in the House of Representatives or protecting the constitutional republic and ensuring the American people know the truth about Donald Trump, I’m going to choose the Constitution and the truth every single day,” Cheney said on CNN last month.

Michigan AG Nessel seeks special prosecutor in 2020 election probe

“Dana Nessel has a history of targeting and persecuting her political enemies,” Shepard said

Attorney General Dana Nessel is seeking a special prosecutor to consider criminal charges against nine people who engaged in a “conspiracy” to gain access to voting machines while disputing the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

The nine people include some high-profile names, including Trump-endorsed, GOP attorney general candidate Matt DePerno, state Rep. Daire Rendon, R-Lake City, and Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf. The letter says the group convinced local clerks to give access to tabulators that the group took to rented areas in Oakland County, where they printed fake ballots and did other tests.

The Detroit News first reported the story, detailed in a letter from Nessel's office to Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.

The investigation overview says that the groups “gained unauthorized access and compromised tabulators” from the offices of the Roscommon County Clerk, the Richfield Township Clerk, the Lake City Township Clerk, and the Irving Township Clerk between March 11, 2021, and late June of 2021.

Additionally, the overview says the AG does “…not believe these actions impair the integrity of the recent August 2nd primary election.”

Nessel requested a special prosecutor citing a conflict of interest if she prosecuted DePerno, who she will likely face in November. Nessel’s office also has filed requests for investigation with the Attorney Grievance Commission.

DePerno’s campaign manager Tyson Shepard called Nessel’s actions “unethical.”

“Dana Nessel has a history of targeting and persecuting her political enemies,” Shepard said in a statement. “At the same time she has refused to investigate or prosecute any crime involving Democrats including the deaths resulting from the nursing home COVID scandal.”

DePerno’a campaign website sells “Lock them up” bumper stickers about Nessel and Whitmer, similar to then-presidential candidate Donald Trump's invigorating crowds by chanting "Lock her up," referring to his opponent Hillary Clinton.

On "Michigan’s Big Show" Monday, DePerno was asked if he had hid voting machines in hotel rooms.

"I have nothing to do with any hotel rooms or any Airbnbs," DePerno told host Michael Patrick Shiels.

Judicial Watch sues DOJ to release Trump-declassified ‘smoking gun’ documents from Russia probe

Documents were ordered released Jan. 19, 2021 but never made public because DOJ raised last minute privacy concerns.

The conservative watchdog Judicial Watch has sued the Justice Department to compel the release of “smoking gun” documents former President Donald Trump declassified and ordered release that detail misconduct in the FBI’s discredited Russia collusion investigation.

The Freedom of Information Act lawsuit was filed quietly in federal court on Aug. 1 and announced Monday by Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

"The Obama-Biden Administration and Deep State spying on Trump and his associates is the worst government corruption scandal in American history,” Fitton said. “And to make matters worse, the Biden DOJ simply refuses to release smoking gun documents about this corruption that the American people have an absolute right to see!”

Just the News reported last month that Trump ordered the declassification and release of a binder filled with sensitive FBI documents on Jan. 19, 2021, but the Justice Department never complied.

The release was delayed during the final hours of the Trump presidency when the DOJ raised privacy concerns about some of the memos and asked to make additional redactions, according to a memo from then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows obtained by Just the News. The memos were never released.

The declassified binder included hundreds of pages of sensitive FBI documents from the Crossfire Hurricane investigation that show how the bureau used informants and FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign and misled both a federal court and Congress about flaws in the evidence they offered to get approval for the investigation.

The declassified memos included transcripts of intercepts made by the FBI of Trump aides, a declassified copy of the final FISA warrant approved by an intelligence court, and the tasking orders and debriefings of the two main confidential human sources, Christopher Steele and Stefan Halper, the bureau used to investigate whether Trump had colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election.

Judicial Watch said in its lawsuit that it filed a FOIA request for the declassified documents in February, but the DOJ never complied.

“As of the date of this Complaint, Defendant has failed to (i) produce the requested records or demonstrate that the requested records are lawfully exempt from production; (ii) notify Plaintiff of the scope of any responsive records Defendant intends to produce or withhold and the reasons for any ithholdings; or (iii) inform Plaintiff that it may appeal any adequately specific, adverse determination,” the lawsuit said.

Chilean authorities tackle sex crimes against children

Chilean authorities released this past weekend a report according to which some 18,000 children were victims of sexual crimes during the first semester of 2022.

The document drafted by the Public Prosecutor's Office also pointed out that five-sixths of all victims were girls.

“It is something that impacts far beyond the arrests, the procedures carried out, the time invested in being able to achieve this objective,” Investigative Police (PDI) Chief Sergio Muñoz said.

He also underlined “how the rights of children and adolescents are violated, and that behind each victim of these facts, irreparable damage is produced.”

The report was released on Children's Day, almost unaware of what some kids endure. The date was established in the country as a result of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, an international treaty approved on November 20, 1989, by the General Assembly of the United Nations, which established a series of rights to ensure the protection and special care of children. In 1990, Chile ratified the international agreement.

Undersecretary of the Interior Manuel Monsalve also explained that “when we talk about the fight against complex crime, organized crime, we are not only talking about drug trafficking, money laundering, smuggling, illegal trafficking of migrants.”

He added that “there are two crimes to which we have to pay special attention due to the seriousness of the violation of human rights: human trafficking and cybercrime, which is extraordinarily serious from the point of view of crime and the violation of people's rights.”

Operation Orion led to the arrest of 55 people nationwide in July as a result of 70 inquiries between the PDI and the Public Prosecutor's Office.

“In terms of investigative results, of the 55 people arrested nationwide, 78% were charged with malicious storage of pornographic material of children and adolescents, and 78% were charged with malicious storage of pornographic material of children and adolescents. There is a smaller number of cases, they have also been charged with its diffusion or distribution through the Internet; others, the production of pornographic material, and likewise, there are also cases, even more serious, of rape or sexual exploitation of underage victims,” explained Maurizio Sovino, deputy director of the Specialized Unit for Sexual Crimes of the National Prosecutor's Office.

Inspector Luis Silva of the Cybercrime Unit also highlighted that in addition to the arrests and raids, large amounts of pornographic videos and images involving minors had been seized.

Most of the arrests were made in Santiago's Metropolitan area (19), Valparaíso (13), and Antofagasta (6). Most people arrested were male.
