Israeli officials said to warn against travel to UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt
Amid top-level warning for Turkey, reports say security officials are cautioning that if Iran gets ‘desperate,’ it could try perpetrating an attack on Israelis in other countries
Israeli officials are cautioning against visiting the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, and Egypt, in addition to the existing travel warning to Turkey, according to several Hebrew media reports.
Israel currently has a top-level travel warning to Turkey, saying there is a concrete threat of an Iranian attack against Israeli tourists in Istanbul.
Channel 13 news and Army Radio both cite unnamed Israeli security officials saying that while the threat in the other destinations is not concrete, danger could soon emerge if Tehran gets “desperate” to commit an attack.
“I would recommend Israelis not go there, and if they go they should take extra care,” an unnamed diplomatic source is quoted as saying.
