Launching a missile from a submarine is not as easy as it sounds. There is a limit to how deep the sub can be as well as how fast the sub is moving through the water. This info is classified (and possibly even secret). I learned this back in the 80's when I was working for the Navy as a welder. They made me obtain secret clearance to work on the submarine launch cruise missile (from Ohio class subs). If they launch when moving too fast the missile will be jammed in the launch tube (leading to disaster).
