I updated the graphic as a combination of two others.
It's a toss up. On one hand I like the set-in-stone'ness so it clears misconceptions… On the other, I love the appeal of an open ended proof. Curiosity is king, and I know our enemies will jump over anything with a definitive tone so It's best to give them something they'll choke on.

On the other hand, we have a hive mind and we're generally skilled at specific things so our teamwork is a formidable force.

On your second point, I think the EST time can sort some of that out but also you've got to wonder just how long it would take to provision a firetruck with the Q74 marker. That would give us an idea of just how much foreknowledge was had either way.
