My grown Liberal son has invited me to go river kayaking with him and a bunch of his Liberal friends this weekend. I will be the only Old Conservative in a group of about 12 people (men & women, and one of the guys is gay/bi) Any advice on how to handle being the only Conservative in the group?

Thinking of just keeping my mouth shut as much as possible, but I know myself, and sometime I just blurt stuff out.

I will be stuck with them in the woods for 3 days/2 nights. No escape.

I've gone on ski trips with them before and we've gotten along fairly well, but I'm still a bit nervous.
