This one is actually pretty simple. Human society is functionally IDENTICAL to a game: It operates by arbitrary rules set by humans in a way that we can understand (perhaps not the whole at once, but all individual parts can be understood). The puppet masters view their existence here as though they are literally playing a game, where the goal is to reduce the number of unique individuals to one (themselves) so that they can effectively become god. This world is, however, very much not a game and the rest of us really don't appreciate them treating it as though it were, as it is preventing us from progressing naturally beyond a certain point. If you want to have any chance of countering the puppet masters, you must learn how to play the same game that they are, but it is not actually a game and all those who have been playing it are about to lose.
