was it a crude attempt at surveillance?
did they think British Intelligence wouldn't be able to discover everything about that piece of technology and its true purpose, then possibly use it as a point of access to the source of the surveillance and the identities of the players?
think about it.
what could any intelligence service do with the potential information that you could get from an iPod from a foreign dignitary?
