House Delays Judicial Protection Bill in order to Expand Coverage of Personal Security Details to Staffers, Aides, Receptionists, Chauffers’ and DC Employees

If you know the way Washington DC thinks, specifically thinks about their own scale of importance amid a world filled with lesser people who do not understand the value of their elite place in the construction of government, then you could easily predict what is happening right now.

 

A previous senate bill that would have afforded security details to Supreme Court Justices, is now stalled in the House of Representatives as Nancy Pelosi and top Democrat politicians add an additional set of people who should gain the full benefit of taxpayer funded security details.

 

Democrats in the House are using the opportunity provided by bipartisan agreement to enhance the personal security services for the Judicial Branch, in order to assign the same privileges to staff, aides and people who work within the administration of government. DC is nothing if not predictable in their elitist view of their self-importance.

 

At the same time as Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, along with some insufferable republicans who pretend not to know how these issues are always manipulated to the benefit of the administrative state, are urgently constructing limits and restrictions to disarm lawful Americans; they are simultaneously building their own system of personal protective services to insure they never have to face the same physical risks they initiate upon everyone else.

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise asked House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer during an exchange on the floor why Democratic leadership hadn’t put the bill to a vote after it unanimously passed the Senate.

 

“I think it’s a very relevant question,” Hoyer said in response. “Hopefully can move that as early as possible. I want to tell the gentleman the reason he thought that it might be moving this morning was because last night I thought I had after discussions with Sen. Cornyn, a way forward both the Senate and the House could agree on. Unfortunately this morning that appeared not to be the case.”

 

The bill’s purpose was brought into sharp focus early Wednesday when an armed man was arrested near Kavanaugh’s Maryland home after making threats against the justice, according to a court spokesperson. The man told law enforcement he had traveled from California to kill “a specific United States Supreme Court Justice,” according to an FBI affidavit filed Wednesday.

 

Senate Judiciary Chairman Duck Durbin said earlier Thursday that the House is “ready to move” on the bill, telling reporters that “we’re ready to meet with them and resolve our differences” on the legislation.

 

“What happened this week with Justice Kavanaugh is a reminder that we live in a dangerous place, and these people are vulnerable and we should protect them,” Durbin said.

 

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has been critical of the House for its inaction on the legislation, and on Thursday he slammed Pelosi for what he called a “dangerous dereliction of duty” for slow-walking its passage.

 

“Inexplicably, this urgent and uncontroversial bill has been sitting on Speaker Pelosi’s desk ever since,” he said. “The same House Democrats whose irresponsible rhetoric has contributed to this dangerous climate are themselves blocking added security for the judges and their spouses and their children.”

 

Democratic Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware told CNN on Wednesday he is still working with the House on a compromise to enhance security, which could include extending protection to clerks and other staff. (read more)

The latest grift from the EcoHealth chief involves a number of Kremlin-linked researchers.

 

Peter Daszak – a controversial U.S-based researcher whose collaborations on coronavirus research with a Chinese laboratory were funded by Anthony Fauci – isolated Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus strains in Russia using funds from the Russian government in a recently published research paper, The National Pulse can reveal.

 

Daszak, 49, appeared to play a critical role in the origins of COVID-19, as his organization, the ‘EcoHealth Alliance’, facilitated a “longtime” joint research effort with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which is believed to be the source of the virus. Throughout the pandemic, Daszak also featured prominently in promoting the “natural origins” theory while simultaneously discrediting supporters of the “lab leak” theory, most notably in the role of the World Health Organization (WHO) COVID-19 investigator.

 

His latest study appears to be yet another controversy. Daszak, who is originally British, is listed as the sole U.S. researcher on the paper: “Identification and Genetic Characterization of MERS-Related Coronavirus Isolated from Nathusius’ Pipistrelle Near Zvenigorod (Moscow Region, Russia).”

 

The paper was published on June 10th 2022 and counted an additional 11 Russian researchers from Kremlin-run facilities including the Federal Service on Consumers’ Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance and Moscow State University.

 

The study was funded by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the national science funding body of the Russian government, and the state-run Russian Science Foundation.

 

Researchers conducted “analyses of bat viromes,” which “have been used to identify novel viruses with potential to cause human infection.”

 

“We characterized the fecal virome of 26 samples collected from six bat species captured during 2015 in Moscow Region. Of these 13/26 (50%) samples were found to be coronavirus positive,” continued researchers.

Scientists Want to Change the Name Of Monkeypox To Make It ‘Non-Discriminatory’ and ‘Non-Stigmatizing’.

Several researchers reportedly “in advanced discussion” with the World Health Organization have proposed changing the name of the monkeypox virus in order to be “non-discriminatory and non-stigmatizing.”

 

Twenty-nine co-authors from 11 countries outlined their proposal in a preprint posted on virological.org on June 10th: “Urgent Need for a Non-discriminatory and Non-stigmatizing Nomenclature for Monkeypox Virus.”

 

Among the authors are several officials from governmental health organizations in Africa and Western researchers from institutions including the University of Oxford and the University of Washington.

 

The demand comes amidst a growing monkeypox outbreak which has now spread to more than 1500 people in 47 countries.

 

“In the context of the current global outbreak, continued reference to, and nomenclature of this virus being African is not only inaccurate but is also discriminatory and stigmatizing,” the group of scientists amidst the ongoing outbreak.

 

“We therefore believe that a nomenclature that is neutral, non-discriminatory and non-stigmitizing [sic] will be more appropriate for the global health community,” continues the paper before proposing “hMPXV” as a placeholder.

 

The scientists also urged the adoption of a system whereby numbers would be used to represent different “clades” or groups, as the virus was divided into West African and Congo Basin branches, which have different genomic signatures and severities.

 

Clade one would hypothetically correspond to the Congo Basin strain, as it was the first to be detected, clade two would represent the West African strain, and clade three would be attributed to the current strain. Lineages within a clade would, they claim, use an alphabet system similar to how SARS-CoV-2 does with Omicron BA.5.

Mark Zuckerberg’s longtime deputy Sheryl Sandberg said Wednesday that she’s quitting her job as Meta’s chief operating officer.

 

Sandberg, who’s worth an estimated $1.6 billionaccording to Forbes, said in a surprise Facebook post that she will step down in the fall and remain a member of the company’s board of directors.

 

“When I took this job in 2008, I hoped I would be in this role for five years,” Sandberg said. “Fourteen years later, it is time for me to write the next chapter of my life.”

 

The news comes six weeks after the Wall Street Journal reported that Sandberg had twice pressured the Daily Mail to kill potentially damaging stories about her then-boyfriend Bobby Kotick.

 

According to the Journal, Kotick told associates that Sandberg warned the Daily Mail that any article they published regarding the situation could hurt the outlet’s relationship with Facebook – whose platform is a considerable source of traffic and revenue for countless media outlets.

Meta, which is reportedly probing the allegations against Sandberg, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on her resignation.

 

Sandberg is also the author of “Lean In,” a motivational book about women in the workplace. She worked at Google prior to joining Facebook.

An airbase belonging to NATO, the force for spreading democracy and freedom in the world, has been caught hosting an illegal drug lab.

 

The Kleine-Brogel airbase, located in northeastern Belgium, was busted by Belgian law enforcement as a drug lab facility was discovered on Wednesday.

 

According to authorities, a "neighboring house" adjacent to the installation's premises was involved in the operation as well. Hard drugs, such as ecstasy, were being manufactured at the lab.

 

During the raid, two suspects were arrested - however, they were not military personnel, and they were released with some conditions.

 

The Kleine-Brogel airbase is believed to have a stockpile of US A-bombs and weapons under the NATO nuclear-sharing contracts. The number of warheads stored at the base is unknown. Back in 2019, a Green MP told Belgium’s parliament that some 10 to 20 nuclear weapons were stockpiled at the site.

 

The Guardian has written about the drug lab on the airbase, but removed the news piece just after users started propagating it on social media.

 

The crackdown on the airbase comes on the same day the NATO Summit in Madrid launched, where the strategic concept for the aggressive alliance for the next 10 years is being laid out.

 

During the summit, NATO leaders labeled Russia a threat to their security, with the alliance's chief Jens Stoltenberg saying that NATO will “state clearly that Russia poses a direct threat to our security,” as the alliance seeks to upgrade its defense response, by strengthening its eastern flank, given the ongoing war in Ukraine.

 

Stoltenberg stated that the summit in Madrid is considered “historic and transformative", adding that the leaders "meet in the midst of the most serious security crisis we have faced since the Second World War."

UN Food Chief Says 'Hell on Earth' Looms From Hunger Crisis Triggered by Ukraine War

As food prices and hunger surge worldwide, hundreds of millions of people around the globe are "marching towards starvation"—increasing the likelihood of preventable deaths, civil unrest, and political violence in the months ahead—the United Nations food chief warned Thursday.

 

"We thought it couldn't get any worse, but this war has been devastating."

 

Speaking from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, World Food Program (WFP) Director David Beasley said that "frightening" shortages of key food staples put tens of millions of lives in jeopardy and risk destabilizing countries that are heavily reliant on imports.

 

"Even before the Ukraine crisis, we were facing an unprecedented global food crisis because of Covid and fuel price increases," said Beasley. "Then, we thought it couldn't get any worse, but this war has been devastating."

 

Since Russia invaded Ukraine in late February and imposed a blockade on its Black Sea ports, agricultural exports from Ukraine—responsible for 9% of the world's wheat, 16% of its maize, and 42% of its sunflower oil—have declined substantially, leaving millions of tons of stored grain on the cusp of rotting.

 

The war also disrupted this year's planting season, raising fears that this summer's harvest, assuming sufficient labor power and storage space can be found, will be a third lower than in 2021.

 

Consequently, food prices have soared to record highs—surpassing levels last seen during the global crisis of 2007-08, when a spike in the cost of bread helped contribute to the Arab Spring uprisings—and put tens of millions of people at increased risk of extreme hunger.

 

Citing the increased costs of shipping, fertilizer, and fuel associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, and the Ukraine war, Beasley said that the number of people suffering from "chronic hunger" has grown from 650 million to 810 million over the past five years.

 

Meanwhile, the number of people suffering from "shock hunger," which Beasley defined as not knowing "where your next meal is coming from," has ballooned from 80 million to 325 million over the same time period.

 

Russia's war on Ukraine isn't the only factor driving global hunger, which hit an all-time high in 2021 and has only grown worse since then.

“If our people are destroyed in Mariupol, if a referendum, a pseudo-referendum, is announced in any new pseudo-republics of Ukraine, Ukraine will withdraw from any negotiations process,” Zelensky said.

 

Two days ago, Moscow announced the capture of Mariupol. However, President Vladimir Putin called off the assault on the Azovstal factory, which remains the last holdout of Ukrainian forces, including the fighters of the neo-Nazi Azov regiment, in the strategic port city. Russian troops should “seal the area so that a fly cannot get through,” Putin instead ordered. Zelensky, meanwhile, admitted that at the moment Ukraine is not able to recapture Mariupol militarily and that the holed-up fighters there are aware of that.

 

Zelensky reiterated his wish to conduct direct talks with Vladimir Putin, as “the war can be stopped by the person who started it.” He explained that, as he thinks, direct negotiations could be a more effective way to reach peace than speaking via mediators.

 

“I want to stop the war and end it. There is a diplomatic path and a military one. Any healthy person chooses the diplomatic path because he knows that even if it is difficult, it can prevent the loss of millions of people,” Zelensky said.

 

Putin, meanwhile, has not ruled out a personal meeting with Zelensky, but stressed that it would depend on the progress of talks between the negotiating teams.

 

Commenting on the upcoming visit by UN Security General Antonio Guterres to Moscow, Zelensky claimed that it is not logical that he would travel to Russia before speaking to Kiev, but the Ukrainian leader expressed his readiness to conduct talks with Guterres as well.

 

Ukraine’s conditions for a peace settlement, according to Zelensky, remain the same: security guarantees for Kiev and “the fate of Donbass and Crimea,” the independence of which Kiev has categorically refused to recognize.

 

“I think there are no more issues,” he said.

 

Meanwhile, Zelensky said, the Ukrainian forces would keep fighting and, depending on weapons supplies from the West, will be recapturing territories which had been captured by the Russian forces.

“My position as president is: whatever they [Russian forces] occupy, we will return. It will not be a matter of 8 years, like from 2014, it will be immediate. This is a matter of weapons. If we have enough of them, we will immediately begin to recapture the occupied territory,” he said.

 

Russia has repeatedly warned NATO against sending arms to Ukraine and stated that it would consider arms convoys to be legitimate military targets. It also says that “pumping up” Ukraine with weapons will only lead to more casualties.

Whether or not one thinks Prohibition was a good policy, the fact is that it resulted in Americans drinking less. Recent studies show marijuana use has increased in the states in which it has been legalized.

 

Other historical examples of how government policy has shaped behavior come from such things as seat belt laws and smoking. State laws requiring seat belts have resulted in people wearing seat belts (and thus dying less often in car accidents). State laws regulating the sale of alcohol and cigarettes to minors have made it harder for minors to drink and smoke, and governmental campaigns about the dangers of smoking have resulted in fewer people smoking.

 

Americans like to think of ourselves as rebels and rugged individualists, but we are largely law-abiding citizens who respect our government and do what it says. Elections have consequences.

 

It’s going to take generations for us to see the effects of Dobbs on the number of abortions performed in the United States. But while we are waiting for those effects to materialize, there are some for whom Dobbs will change everything today, tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year.

 

Because of this ruling, there will be babies born who otherwise would not have been. Their lives will be a gift and blessing to the world, regardless of whether the world realizes it. Given the demographic alarms sounding about population decline, this welcome realization may well come sooner than later.

 

More than ever, it is the duty of pro-life Americans to uphold all children as the blessing they are by doing whatever we can to care for them and to support their parents, whether biological or adoptive. As pro-life organizations continue working for a recognition of the sanctity of life by every person in every place, the care of that life at all its stages and the promotion of pro-natalist policies become even more essential elements of our work.

Over 100 Georgia Sheriffs Condemn Democratic Gubernatorial Challenger Over 'Defund The Police'

 

A total of 102 sheriffs in Georgia have joined Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican who is seeking a second term, in a statement condemning Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams over her support of “soft-on-crime policies.”

 

The statement, released on June 27, also criticized Abrams for “advancing the Defund the Police movement” with her position as a board member at the Marguerite Casey Foundation, a Seattle-based grant-making group, which the sheriffs called an “anti-police organization.”

 

“Stacey Abrams has repeatedly shown complete disdain for law enforcement and the risk we take every day putting our lives on the line to serve our communities,” the sheriffs wrote.

 

“Ms. Abrams actively serves on the governing board of—and has profited from—an anti-police organization which openly advocates for abolishing prisons and stripping local police departments of their funding,” they added.

 

Georgia’s governor race is a rematch between Kemp and Abrams. In 2018, Kemp edged Abrams by 54,723 votes with over 3.9 million voters casting a vote. This year, Kemp defeated former Sen. David Perdue to win the GOP nomination.

 

So far it has been a tight race between the two candidates. According to a recent poll from Easter Carolina University’s Center for Survey Research, Kemp led Abrams 50 percent to 45 percent. The poll surveyed 868 registered voters in Georgia from June 6 to June 9.

 

Abrams became a board member of the foundation in May 2021. Less than a month later, she was one of the board members supporting the foundation’s roll-out of an anti-police initiative.

 

The foundation’s 2020 financial filing (pdf), available on its website, shows that it has given grants to groups including the Movement for Black Lives and Louisville Community Bail Fund.

 

The foundation is vocal in its support for the #AbolishthePolice and #DefundthePolice movements, as evidenced by the frequent mention of the two Twitter hashtags on its social media account. One recent example involved a post promoting the foundation’s book event.

 

“Stacey Abrams also supports proposals that put criminals back on our streets and clears their criminal record, and she opposed legislation to crack down on human trafficking when she served in the state legislature,” the sheriffs added.

Watched most of the so called hearing today and been having msnbc playing in the background since. Knew that swamp critters were in government. Knew the election of Donald J. Trump on 8 Nov. 2016 WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. Found out the morning of the 9th on my car radio. Got home at 1:30 and went to work. Been digging ever since.

 

But this? What happened, and is happening, today takes the cake. Not only did the internal enemy steal the election, they had, working behind our President's back and coordinating with enemy media, they had their anti-American shills in place to DEBUNK every factual evidence of their election crimes. Barr was their keystone. (I'll come back to him).

 

Barr put on the best 'act' of all of the traitors. Look how he pissed of the enemy media when he made the decision the Mueller and his team of anti-Trump lawfare lawyers didn't. He made the decision the there was no evidence that Trump committed a crime. I thought at the time that Barr was a white hat. I couldn't have been more wrong. On the short notice he gave before the transcript of the Special Counsel report was released he put in these words: "…we did not find enough evidence to exonerate him".

 

So, what did we/I learn today. The deep state had everyone in place. Evidence of election crimes began to appear on the day after the election. People all over the country were reporting election crimes, signing affidavits. Media didn't, and never will, report a one of them, expect to say they have been debunked. One of the bigger ones was the 18 wheeler trucker who brought a trailer load of ballots from Long Island to Pennsylvania. A federal agent began investigating it and reported up the chain. Bill Barr, his ownself, contact that agent and told him to not tell anyone what he's found out and to turn end his investigation and turn everything over to the corrupt AG of PA.

 

Today I found out the swamp is bigger than I ever imagined. They all outed themselves today. All 3 of those witnesses said if President Trump fires Rosen and appoints Clark, Clark will be in charge of a graveyard. There will be no one left in the top management of the DOJ.

Been reading about the pros and cons of precious metals. It’s a different kind of investment, so much so I’m almost reluctant to call it that.

 

If you buy 5.4 ounces of gold for $10,000US today, next year it might cost $15,000US or it may cost $8,000US, meaning if you sell it in exchange for US dollars at that time, you might get more or less fiat currency for it.

 

Here’s the question though, if today that same $10,000US will buy you a refrigerator, washer and dryer, and a new furnace, but next year that $10,000US will only buy you a week’s worth of food, the gold will still have value when a recovery begins.

 

No, you can’t eat it and it makes no sense to sell it during a crash in exchange for something worthless, but that’s why it’s just one piece of your personal investments. You also should have investments in food storage.

BBC Producers were forced to cancel a “sex ed theatre” production called the “Family Sex Show” featuring “non-sexual nudity.”

38,000 people signed a petition for it to be axed.

Amazon's private messaging app is being flooded with images of child sex abuse

 

Wickr Me, an encrypted messaging app owned and operated by Amazon Web Services, is a popular digital gathering space for people seeking access to images of child pornography.

 

NBC News reported that court documents, online communities, law enforcement, and anti-exploitation activists sounded the alarms about the exploitative tendencies of some of Wickr Me’s userbase.

 

According to data gathered by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Wickr Me is far from the only digital service that is used to share exploitative images of children. However, according to subject matter experts and law enforcement officials, Amazon is doing comparatively little to proactively address the problem.

 

Amazon’s slow response to the problem reportedly attracts more people who want to participate in the platform’s growing child pornography marketplace. It is believed these people flock to Wickr Me because there is less risk of detection than in other corners of the internet.

 

There have been over 70 state and federal child sexual abuse or child pornography prosecutions where the defendant allegedly used Wickr Me from the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Nearly every one of these prosecutions has resulted in conviction, but there are some that are still being adjudicated.

 

Almost none of the criminal complaints in these cases note cooperation from Wickr Me at the time of filing unless the company was legally compelled to provide information through the use of a search warrant.

 

Over 25% of the more than 70 prosecutions stem from undercover operations conducted by law enforcement on Wickr Me and other tech platforms.

 

According to two law enforcement officials involved in investigating child exploitation cases and two others who have firsthand experience surveilling the tendencies of people who spend their time on the dark web, these court cases only represent a small percentage of the problem of child pornography online.

 

Posts that link Wickr Me and child sexual abuse material can be found across the internet. These posts were most commonly found on Reddit, Tumblr, and Twitter. There are reportedly dozens of forums, accounts and blogs where hundreds of posts have been made soliciting sexual acts from minors, discussing the exchange of child sexual abuse material, and discussing transactions for access to minors. Wickr Me screen names were commonly found alongside these posts.

 

Other apps, such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram which are all owned by Meta, use algorithmic detections methods to constantly scan unencrypted text and media to find signs of child sexual abuse imagery.

Israeli Jets Strike Suburb South of Syria’s Capital off Damascus

 

State media: Air defenses intercept most of missiles fired

 

The latest round of Israeli attacks on Syria saw fighter jets firing a flurry of missiles at Damascus. The missiles hit the suburb of al-Kiswah, though state media reported a vast majority were intercepted by air defenses.

 

Its not clear what sites were targeted, though Israeli press claimed Kiswah has some Iranian militia sites therein. The strikes did some physical damage, but there is no word yet of casualties.

 

This is not unusual for Israeli attacks in Syria, as the Syrians have substantial air defenses, and strikes tend to target warehouses and the like, not heavily populated areas.

 

Nominally these Israeli attacks are aimed at Iran, and therefore anything they hit in Syria gets spun as Iran-linked, even if often they are just Shi’ite militias.

US Health Officials Warn for the Rise of Mosquito-Borne Viruses Including West Nile and Jamestown Canyon virus

 

The United States health experts are sounding the alarm on the rise of mosquito-borne viruses that has the potential to spread Zika virus, West Nile virus, Chikungunya virus, dengue, malaria, and any other diseases.

 

The first mosquito-borne virus of 2022 was detected in Michigan.

 

According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Bureau of Laboratories (MDHHS BOL), a recent collection of mosquitoes from Bay County tested positive for Jamestown Canyon virus (JCV). These are the first infected mosquito pools detected for 2022.

 

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services said that half of the people who are diagnosed with Jamestown Canyon virus ended up in the hospital.

 

Jamestown Canyon virus is spread to people by infected mosquitoes. The virus is found throughout much of the United States, but most cases are reported from the upper Midwest, according to CDC.

 

Cases occur from late spring through mid-fall. Fever, headache, and fatigue are common symptoms of Jamestown Canyon virus disease. Jamestown Canyon virus can cause severe disease, including encephalitis (inflammation of the brain).

 

On Thursday, the Indiana Department of Health released a statement announcing that the first case of West Nile virus in 2022 had been found in a Lake County resident, in northwest Indiana.

 

A resident from Lake County has become the first person in the state of Indiana to contract West Nile Virus in 2022, according to state health officials. Additional information about the patient is limited due to privacy concerns.

 

“All Hoosiers should take precautions to protect themselves against mosquito bites at their 4th of July celebrations and for the rest of the summer,” said State Public Health Veterinarian Jennifer Brown. “We are at risk for mosquito-borne disease through the first hard freeze.”

 

According to CDC, the West Nile virus (WNV) is the leading cause of mosquito-borne disease in the continental United States. It is most commonly spread to people by the bite of an infected mosquito. Fortunately, most people infected with WNV do not feel sick. About 1 in 5 people who are infected develop a fever and other symptoms. About 1 out of 150 infected people develop a serious, sometimes fatal, illness.

Some of the participants at the Colorado confab were from states that opposed President Trump’s Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity (on which I served) and refused to provide that commission information about the same database details they happily shared with David Becker’s progressive organization.

 

All of this is just a first taste at understanding the behind-the-curtain relationships developing between progressive deep pockets, leftist activists, vote fraud deniers, federal officials with prosecutorial power, and state and local election officials.

Rotering says this latest mass shooting, coming on the heels of attacks in Buffalo, New York and Uvalde, Texas, serve as a reminder that change needs to happen.

“We, as a country, have to have a very strong conversation with ourselves,” she said. “I don’t know how many more of these events need to occur. We’ve been talking about this, literally, for decades at this point. Decorated Officer Admits to Running Horrifying Child Porn Ring in Which Infants Were Sexually Abused

 

Baltimore, MD — When residents of Rockville, Maryland saw Daniel Morozewicz, 38, patrol their neighborhoods, they likely felt protected. But they were not. Morozewicz is a child predator of the worst kind and has since admitted to running a horrifying child sexual abuse material distribution ring.

 

Morozewicz was working at his position in the National Guard where he was distributing COVID-19 vaccines at Six Flags in Bowie when feds raided the clinic and arrested him in March 2021.

 

This week, Morozewicz pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing over 12,000 files of child pornography. The guilty plea was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Erek L. Barron.

 

According to his guilty plea, from September 2020 to January 2021, while employed as a Rockville Police Officer and an Army National Guardsman, Morozewicz received, possessed, and distributed child pornography on the BitTorrent file sharing network. Morozewicz also used multiple electronic devices to download and distribute child pornography involving prepubescent minors and infants.

 

During that time, Morozewicz repeatedly distributed child pornography to undercover law enforcement officers. On at least four instances in 2020, investigators determined that the devices associated with Morozewicz’s IP address downloaded and shared child pornographic files on the BitTorrent, including massive compressed files of images and videos.

 

According to the DoJ much of this material involved horrifying images of infant sexual abuse as well as toddlers:

 

As stated in his guilty plea, on March 4, 2021, Morozewicz received a tip that federal law enforcement wished to conduct an in-person interview with him. The next day, on March 5, 2021, law enforcement executed a series of search and seizure warrants on Morozewicz’s residence, vehicle, and his person. As a result of the search of Morozewicz’s person, law enforcement seized a smartphone which had been recently factory reset and erased in light of the impending visit from federal law enforcement. He also admitted that he discarded his computer in anticipation of a visit from law enforcement. Morozewicz’s actions were viewed as an attempt to impede the investigation and prosecution of his child pornography offenses.

 

Multiple electronic devices were seized in connection the warrants executed at Morozewicz’s residence and in his vehicle. A forensic examination of Morozewicz’s devices revealed that he possessed over 12,300 depictions of child pornography and erotica, including over 200 depicts involving the sexual abuse of infants and toddlers, and over 90 child pornographic images involving sado-masochistic conduct.

“Being for life always means defending it against the threat of firearms, which unfortunately have become a leading cause of death of children and adolescents in the U.S.,” the Vatican’s editorial director Andrea Tornielli chided Saturday in an essay.

 

“Pro-life” is not just about opposing abortion, he pointed out. Anti-abortion activists must be concerned with all issues that threaten life, such as easy access to guns, poverty and rising maternity mortality rates, which are alarmingly high in the U.S., Tornielli emphasized.

 

The maternal mortality rate in the U.S. has climbed from 20.1 deaths of women per 100,000 live births in 2019 to 23.8 per 100,000 in 2020, he noted, citing statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

 

And “strikingly,” maternal mortality rates are three times higher for Black women in the U.S., Tornielli added.

 

“Being for life, always, means asking how to help women welcome new life,” he added, noting that that 75% of women in America who have abortions live in poverty or are low-wage earners. And only 16% of workers in private industry have paid parental leave, he added.

 

“We can hope … that the debate on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling will not be reduced to an ideological confrontation, but will prompt all of us … to reflect on what it means to welcome life, to defend it, and to promote it with appropriate legislation,” Tornielli emphasized.

 

The U.S. Conference of Bishops and the Vatican’s Academy for Life praised the Supreme Court ruling on Friday. But the Academy for Life also called for social changes to help women keep their children.

 

Pope Francis celebrated families on Saturday, but didn’t mention the ruling. And he warned families not to be “poisoned by the toxins of selfishness, individualism [and] today’s culture of indifference and waste.”
