>"Except idiots are raising kids."

That is a hard lesson.

Immaturity is as immaturity does.

There is an organic 'school'.

It was once known as the family.

Life teaches us all.

Some lessons are welcomed even as it pains.

Not that the pain is welcomed, no.

The lesson is welcomed, when learned.

Learning is painful - usually mildly so in terms of discomfort and wrestlling with knowledge.

Wisdom is organic, not synthetic, and so is learned, not taught.

TY anon for noting the difficulties bestowed by poor parenting. This is a very hard fact of life. It is hard to live that; hard to witness that; hard to welcome that; but it is a prime example of learning rather than teaching.

Now, with that said, compare with the 'system' known as public school. All the defects of immaturity and little, if any, of the advantages of organic wisdom. Wading through such a system is like breached the beach on D-Day. Some survive and succeed. Too many perish.

If as a parent you send your offspring to such a system, arm them well, and provide covering fire as best as you can.
