Conflict in the Middle East is not really as complex as
some would have you believe. At it's heart is a general
strategy the ruling class have been using to protect their
status relative to everyone else.
We all work to increase our own price, and decrease the price
of others. This is how you win. The state, as an organization
do this as well, but much more cunningly, their bluffs are much
more sophisticated.
Recently the manager of a popular niche athlete did an interview
in which he made a veiled threat to the coach of a more popular athlete.
It stemmed from an altercation that included a bus
and a trash bin. The manager stated that at the core
of the confrontation of a joke the coach made about religion
on twitter, about not taking it seriously. Why is that a threat?
This specific religion is made up of largely unsuccessful men and
women, with the men being specifically violent and dogmatic.
That the religion makes them so is simply not true. We are
at heart coercers who don't have to be because of technology.
Take a man's work away, what is he going to do besides get
what he needs from you or else he makes things worse.
The whole reason the manager can make such a threat is
because there are millions of these men eager to please those
above them with violence. The key for him to having this power then
is that the economic state of the places where these men
are born and raised must be poor, or else they would not go for
the low hanging fruit of religious violence.
