Neither Russia nor USA was as strong militarily as many like to believe
There was a real risk that the Nazis would win WW3
The past few years have seen a lot of hidden activity to restore and build up military capability
This was absolutely essential or the war would have been utterly lost.
The situation is much better now.
Enemy capabilities have been broken
Both USA and Russia and GCC have made REAL PROGRESS in weapons
and in trained forces.
All that fuss about exercises in Europe to combat Russia was for a damn good reason.
It provided cover for covert comms with Russian military
And it gave US forces much needed training and preparation
And it allowed the best people to be selected
For the special forces units which are key to winning WW3
